Dose Lineage2 Support SLI

Hi guys, I am planing to purchase dual 6600 GT, but i am not sure will the lineage2 support it or not. I read nvidia's web it says lineage2 will support SLI.

But i also read some artical there are no really performance gain from the SLI set up. I hope there are some player with SLI set up can answer me the question

sli can be used in any game. sli actually uses 2 graphic cards and makes a single image(which is your display vga/dvi whatever it may be).

it can either render line by line. Card one takes odd lines, card 2 takes even or it can alternate between frames. frame 1,3,5,7... is done by card1 and 2,4,6,8 is done by card 2.


Very quick technology, you can probalby see a jump in performance at 8x AA w/ 1600x1200 but I honestly don't know many people that run l2 at that...1024x768 @ 32b color and no AA seems good for me. Not exactly worth running sli for lineage but sli can be used in any game. It is just a advance and expensive way of rendering your images.

Buy a single Nvidia 7800 and be done with it. Performance will be similar. You'd have to get a whole new motherboard that supports SLI in order to actually have 2 video cards installed for it. And the cards must be *identical*.

SLI can be used it any games, yes. But the performance increase is the question. Some games dont benifit from it, which you wont know till you actually test it. Personally you'd be better off with a single 7800 card like Rae said.

Dont need anymore identical cards/ check last beta drivers info. And yeah using SLI, same setup, I didnt really notice much improvement 1024*1280, except for sli-mode AA.
