This is alot better than the typical "new items, new land mass, new skills" update, they are actually paying attention to the playability of the game for a change rather just "tweaking" skills.

personally i like what i see.
mages get the change i wanted them to get. increased base m.crit rate and nerfed buffs for m.crit rate. it will make it esier to get a good crit rate but you wont be able to reach the insane 100% crit rates anymore.
WS gets heals for their summon :dwf_luv:
WS and BH gets fatal strike... isnt that the skill Destroyers have? i like that dwarfs get skills but id like to see more uniqe skills.
someone had a link to where you could remove buffs you didnt want. thats REALLY a nice change, no more overbuffing in town and you can chose what buffs you want to avoid yourself beeing overbuffed.
dubble effect of attribute stoens on armor, sweet. so you should be able to get 2 attributes with almost full resist and 1 with 1/2 resist with just a pot or buff added on top.
jewelry agumentation? Oo nice. hope you can get like stun resists or other defensive stuff from that ^^

Reading the new edits of the initial post seems ncsoft is changing a LOT of things so in some parts we have a totaly new game.
how would it have lower inflation?
with less money needed for a/b grade items & shots, S grade prices will hit the roof.
it cant hit the roof... this is not player exchange related...you get items from shop, anyone can buy from shop.
1-crystal cost will be fix, ex: B=5k , A=10K, the soulshots price will drop, and there will be enough benefits from crafting ss anyway.
2- About B-A Grade : there is 2 cases
*poor ppl and bots : will use store to buy B-A they just wanna lvl, will be the bigest number of players<--- will save lots of of mats for other craft, which basicly will decrease mats cost.
*rich ppl : will probably aim top Grade for their subs, and will craft, cuz they want SA and auguement and rare, for those there will be enough sellers
3- the craft now have probability, to make either rare item, or x2 production, the rare depands on how rare will have high price, the x2 items will help lower the prices and again save some mats
4- S grade : the S grade will probably lower depand on the server, but logicaly , there will be more mats (cheaper to craft S), and always x2 production.
so in my opinion there is no way the prices will hit the roof, every change helps the economy stability, to be more in poor ppl range
on the other hand after few months, a price will hit the roof, adena sellers, ppl will pay more for less adena.

the x2 items sounds ok
but since you won't spend as much money on b/a grade, you'll have more money saved up to throw away on S grade stuff. You get items from shop so you remain with extra adena and now you can afford to throw more of it on S grade shit and since s grade will be just as hard to get, prices will go up.
On the other hand, this update should drasticly reduce the number of farmers roaming the servers cuz with more accessible shit there's gonna be less and less need for them.
overall it's a good update

not if they can get 150 wind resist i think. wich will be esier if you can get 60 resist per armor part

L ratio is the magic occurs when using the existing excellent demiji been increased more than 10 times.
L General excellence demiji 4 of the existing demiji reduced three times on the boat.
L 20 percent excellent demiji occur, the probability is less than the maximum adjusted so.

it seems mage crit damage is reduced to 3x from 4x.
but i have no idea what that last line is trying to say.

i've been playing this game since taiwanese beta and all the updates and i've always said that this game has been going downhill since that mini update post c1 - pre c2 (basically c1.5), but i'm actually looking forward to this update.

Some people keep saying that L2 looks more and more like WoW. I have never played WoW (only Warcraft 2) but from what I read it is much easier to level. Well, keep in mind that for a game to progress, it needs new players to join (prefarably more than they quit). With the new level cap at 85 what would you say to a new player wanting to join L2? Buy 2-3 accounts to box for your main? Or play hard solo for 1-2 years just to get to S-grade? Endgame for a new player is further away and L2 needs to become easier on lower levels to attract new people. Otherwise we will have more of the "OMG L2 is dying" posts.

Summoners should of had a primary nuke to fall back on all this time. We got nuke skills pre-second class change and it compliments the summon nicely. 40-75, there is absolutely no reason to use the mp regen summon AT ALL.
besides, summoners also get mass surrender to fire/wind/water and only es's actually have a summon with an elementally related skill/spell.
Although I think it's odd if they only give one summoner type a nuke...
Uhhh, Summoners don't need a nuke to fall back on. Thats stupid.

the best they change is this:2. Player and Monster melee range increased slightly.i guess no more glitches

Ok, so I'll need a 3rd shot on those ppl who actually put stones on their armor.
Anyways, about the mage crit rate. If they indeed 10x the unbuffed rate, then in CT2 an unbuffed mage will have the same crit rate as a CT1 mage with WM2 and Prophecy of Water. Actually it'll have more cause the unbuffed mage crit rate now is around 1%. With PoW and WM2 it's about 8%
Actually I think with mage crits working like this it will be better for mages. Now to get a high crit rate you need all 3 buffs, presuming no Valakas or augment. You need to have WM2, Siren and PoW.
But if they significantly lower the WM boost of Prophecy of Water and transfer the boost over as a "passive" into the base magecrit rate, mages can use CoV and get all the additional boost like HP & PDEF without losing the high mage crit rate, for which previously PoW was required

like archers was, and guess what? they wanna make lolarchers with all those anti-arrows sh1ts ;P but ye mages will still be WTFPWN classes at least in ct 1,5 and in Garcia >_<

just depend on how better is the "rare" version of crafts...
if they give good bonus is as confronting shadow items with normal enchanted/sa/augment items...
and "rare" items needs repairs so you'll need more money to pay blacksmith or to buy new items if you forgot and they broke...
They are making fundamental changes to drops from mobs? Mobs drop "general items", i guess maybe they want to make drops more "logical" (i.e. a mob wielding a sword will drop that sword). The changes in the "item-related changes" section also fit into this - they talk about "rare" and "exceptional" items. Sounds very much like WoW again >.<

Cause they are nerfing range classes which are played by the majority of NA and EU ppl and boosting WS and Summoners which are played the most by roleplaying korean fags.

Poision/Bleed should be changed bypass CP imo, because as it's now you can outspam poision/bleed effect with CP, and ofc no 1 HP left instant death after your HP reaches 0.
I'm waiting for that aswell, they did this good in Rappelz

Well i wanted to say that same things in different games looks completely different, and i do not agree with ppl who saying that l2 is becoming like WoW.
Jewelry Augmentation
Earrings, necklaces, rings can now have special augmentations applied to them.
What like LS, elemental stones or more like, stun/debuff/bleeding/poison/ etc.. reduction ? .... if its the last options.....:hf_surp:
Fighters/Archers Will: added a bonus chance rate the rate at which skills critical for double damage while the buff is active. .. good
ild Magic (Buff): Magic critical rate has been reduced.
Wild Magic (Items): Magic critical rate has been reduced
Dance of Siren: Magic critical rate has been reduced. .. Good for me ( if they not add crit rate by an other way)
Armor Mastery (Warrior & Kamael): MP regeneration increased. ... yes.. but i think we will not really see any diff..
MP Consumption of the following toggles are increased:
Soul Cry, Silent Move, Guard stanace, Soul Guard, Shield Fortress, Parry stance, Riposte Stance, War Frenzy, Strike Back, and others. ...... NOOO, not our toggles!! ( duelist) are they mad or what?, they eat so fast allready our mp.. but lol!!
Defensive attribute applied to armor was increased to twice their capacity.
Attribute stone success rate was increased.
Different attribute can be used to increase defense of certin debuffs. Really good !!!!!
