L2 proxy

Well, my university has a bandwidth cap on all residents making it almost impossible to play, recently we found a solution to this by creating a SSH tunnel to the campus intranet gaining access to the internet everyone elses on campus gets. i was wondering if there was a way to send l2 through this proxy?

Ive tried sockscap but i set everything up and i can turn off the tunnel and still run l2 through sockscap which means its using the normal internet instead of the proxy.

maybe theirs a better program or maybe i am setting things up wrong, any help would be appreciated.

my university internet is blocking L2... cant connect at all.
isnt there a way to get it connecting through the proxy of the university ? or something like that ><

This is the best one I've been using while I was on uni.

You have free internet for 6 hours during a day, you must reconnect at 1 hour, so take care if you go in rift :) (this is for the free version) If you want to play more than 6 hrs/day, you have to make more accounts, and connect through them.

For the paid version ... you got many options there, no reconnects needed, just choose the best option for you.

but an early CT1 gameguard update put an end to all sorts of proxying

It does proxy, but gameguard will throw a 'hacking tool discovered' error after 20 seconds

yeah what, shaman said ... your only chance is a proper vpn through a tunnel i think

even if it was possible with the new gameguard, its not possilbe to get in lineage with proxy through university.. thats cause you cant connect to proxy..in other words in order to make a connection to somewhere you need to pass from proxy of uni which will not allow you to connect to another one
