Diffrent kinds of ram?

So I need to upgrade my ram, and I need to know if theres diffrent types of ram chips that fit diffrent pc's, or if they all standard size and fit.
Also, what do I need to look at when buying them? just the GB ?

eerr.... yes ofcourse there are different types of ram chips...

The simplest way to find out is check your motherboard and then see what kind of RAM it supports....

If you can't do that, then check BIOS or just unplug your current chip and show it to someone who knows about these things... xD

download cpuz open it and click the spd tab, you can then google your rams part number for more info or just look at the info avail, depends what you want to know.
