It should be non-enchantable, non-SA-able weapons/armors considered as standard items. So far from official boards posts ...

Yes, standard = no echants/sa and low crystal count but they are dirt cheap ...
Shops sell D and C and there are Bgrade standard items too, guess as mob drops or something since I cant find them in any shop.

can u cristalize them?

yes you can crystalize them but you obviously dont get the same crystals as from regular items ... like a top d standard weapon gives like 120 D crystals or something

For the D items, they cant get a SA or Augment so the only limitation is for enchant - and as with new newbie buffs, vitality and shortened class quests the time passed in D grade will be a lot lesser, better to buy a dirt cheap top d unenchanteable than invest lots of money to a enchanted-red top D that you will use for a limited time....
For C grade onward things are different, there's the option to add SA and augments other than enchants.
The mobs even drop the Standard items

yeah it makes sense ... there are B grade standard items in game but not in shops, so they gotta come from somewhere :p

Note that there are no set bonuses on the standard items. I think this will help new players alot, even though you lose on bonuses and enchantments, you can afford very good equipment for very little money. I'm glad NCSoft is finally helping newcomers.

There are no newcomers. Only new bots. Which surely will be helped a lot. Now if some NCSoft employe get drunk and bans a bot it will be easy for the botter to replace it.
