Warlords in CT2

As with all the subclass buffs warlord in my personal opinion is becoming very interesting.

I would like from those who have it as main what is its best setup and what they think will be the best choice for the future (nearly arrived) CT2 and subclass preferred skills.

MAYBE I'll change my ST with a warlord.........just a maybe :p

I find interesting all the detarget skills, the single hit damage on critical hit coulped with the subclass skill of critical rate increase and the critical stun SA (that singularly is simply nice but with all the stun skill warlord has it is very interesting). Other than that the exp of a main warlord will increase due to the chance haste skill that, with a char that hit 15 more mobs per swing, it is like considering it permanently active.

I like shock blast, howl and the fear plus slow skill lev 81 (yes almost all lev 81 skills are amazing I know)

Let's say that, I'm fed up with "normal chars" and I like more an interesting one. Other than that warlord was in the past very useless in pvp, but now I feel it is far better.

Naturally I did not try it, so maybe i'm just bloody wrong. This is why I made this post.

my advice is: use the "Subclass to main change" event. seriously...

If u won't change it, well,... get used to things like u can't do AoE anymore, u r useless in PvP, ... but u can still do fishing :)

Terribly wrong. The ct2 nerf will nerf destros mostly ( since they have to stop and do aoe skills while they pull ), and pullers that just pull by running trough aggro mob rooms. Warlords have several skills that help them pull rooms and keep the aggro after that. So i agree with OP , warlods will become a more valuable members of AOE parties, as this is how it was supposed to be.

no you re wrong .. login to the pts and try it, no matter what you do once a mob is x units away from it's spawn area it dissapears and goes back to it's spawn. Nothing makes the mob keep following, hate, hitting the mob nothing.
If you re happy aoeing 1 room at the time then yeah great for you. Serious pole parties though dont do 1 room at the time, only polers I ve ever seen do 1 room only are some farmers that pole exp wolves without ss

Mob cant go too far away from its spawn, if it does then mob is ported back. Diego Vargas is not always right.

I'm not really interested in exp talk.......there is always a way to exp in a nice way, evidently warlords were able to do too much exp and probably they wanted to balance it out.
So exp does not interest me.
I'd like some pvp speech, I even appreciate the ones that say that WL is useless, just explain it.
Apparently warlord correctly buffed has a pretty nice dps due to his critical damage modifiers with focus attack. I also like the area skills quite useful against daga users due to the fact you do not need to target them to hit them. And shockblast is a pretty uber skill that is not huge only cause it is in the warlords hands.
So Tell me please why I should not go for a warlord only if you got some clue, because even if I've got nearly nothing I still have some common sense.
After all WL is a DD, the point is how to make it effective.....if there is one.

as xNesh wrote, u r wrong. I'm AoE exping every day, so I tested this stuffs on PTS either, and it simply doesn't work. AoE is dead when Gracia will come to live ... u can't pull, u can't train, u can only run through and watch like mobs don't fucking care about you...

Bout Warlords, well... Imo they are usefull in some niche pvp, like clusterfucks inside castle, but they are not even close to be decent during casual pvps, we should just wait for live CT2 to check if they are still the same / worse / better. BTW, I hate you for considering changing your main class for warlord =P

Maybe you won't be able to do as massive trains as being done at the moment when doing highlevel poleparties, but that doesn't mean poling will be dead. I switched my Warlord sub to main (it was my first choice of class when I started on Teon, but got talked into making ad BD when I started on Teon and joined a clan that had several friends from the private server we all had played on before starting on Teon).
Just gotta get to 76+ and so on now though ^^

Warlords can be used effectively in PvP. For the most part I wouldnt bother playing my warlord if it couldnt cancel people, but with jewels you can pull off effective stunning in mass or even smaller pvps. With a group properly assisting he becomes a useful asset, and shockblast is quite pwn~ All in all I dont know if theres much difference here, this class still needs helps. Im not sure why they havent given warlords either 1) better temp mobility or 2) better defensives passive or temp(EI: one of the 2 skills glads didnt really need(ok maybe sonic move)). Playing a warlord feels like playing a BD with stuns to me. You have huge HP range, but still get bent over by a mage crit. Though it could change a bit with mage changes, your options are still the same. Your ass gets run around by range and chopped up a bit. All in all, I save warlord for mass PvPs. Titan hero > warlord hero minus mass pvp.
