im definitely skeptical.
maybe if a hand, foot, or even an ARM was in the shot instead of that pile of w/e the fuck it is.
bottom line is ...if tomorrow the dna results come back and its not a hoax, say bye to christianity and all other creationist religion. :P
unless of course god put that corpse there to test our faith! totally understandable.
I'd say it's just a very hairy man! If bigfoot exist then what about loch ness monsters and stuff !!

christianity and all other creationist religion has had bigger crises than this. they'll find some way to keep people tithing so i wouldn't worry for them.

bigger crises such as..? a link between humans and apes would be icing on the atheist/creationist cake.

looks like a very hairy man, as veso said
@christianity, i dont think there are ppl who still claim that man appeared in 1 second after god commanded it. I think its common knownledge that the stuff said in genesis and other christian books are tales that were told at the time to the ppl so they would believe.
I am not a fanatic myself, but if u believe anything thats writen in religion books u wont get too far. I had a teacher say once, u may not believe there is a god, but when u look at the elemental table and u see the exact differences and details and how armonic they are, and also knowing that if even something was a tiny bit different the human race and the world as we know it wouldnt exist, then there has to be some higher force behind it.

The slightness of our understanding of the universe does not make way for a bearded man in the sky. This is what I don't understand about creationists; they're so incredulous toward the possibilities of a god-less universe but they jump to accept the immature storybook account of how the world was created.
I created the world, I'm sorry for that

yet you fail to grasp the role creationist religions have played in the world, and allowed cultures to advance to the point we are at today. sometimes its better to believe in the incomplete or inconsistant story, which gives structure and purpose to the lives of so many, then to believe in nothing at all.

Wow, a serious discussion on Blah... about religion too... I'm almost (almost) speechless.
I think the biggest hoax (read: hmmm... how can we control the hordes of people out there the most effectively) of all time was by the religions insisting on giving God a human form and putting "him" outside of us, removing any indication that we were comprised of the very stuff that god is and completely denying the veracity of women.
Creationists, yes, have been a huge part of the expansion of the horizons of the world... but only because of their intolerance for other minds and other ideas.

Visit the off topic section every once in a while and you'll find it's a lot different from the discussions held on the server forums.
