New To The Game

I was reading the best PvP server thread and being a PvP player myself, this post meant a lot to me. I've watched people play L2 before, I've watched the mindless PKers outside of towns. I just bailed out of World Of Warcrack in a PvP server.

After much reading, I've decided that I'm going to play Orc and hopefully make it to be a Tyrant. I've tried reading around, but there isn't much information on servers. If someone could enlighten me on them, it would be much appreciated.

I do agree that any server could be best in someones opinion due to the fact they love it there, have good friends, and that the pvp is to their standard. Thats what I'm looking for I guess. I want to have fun with this game, not get bored of it (ie: 60 Warlock on WoW then they nerf us so I quit).

If you could post your opinions on this, in a non-flaming way - which is very possible, please do. I'll be playing this week so maybe I'll be joining your server. Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for the reply. I figured I wouldn't see PvP until later levels, like you said - this isn't WoW. Kain it is.

Then why did several Kain alts(Names I do not know) say during the Unichron siege that they never see pvp like that on Kain?

And how do you know Kain is the largest server hands down? Read Simmons post, the one quoted up there. Until you have done all of that, then you can't truly say that.

Haha, one time someone on Kain was in the same room (RL) as someone on Dev. The Kain player told me that the Dev person's 9-man TOI group PR'd at the sight of 9 of their enemies. When Aden loaded after the PR, he saw the other 9-man group as well. LOL both parties PR'd. I bet all of Dev is like that.

nobody on kain is rolling each other over and over its all good fights and strong clans on kain besides TP alliance,

There has been a red war going on on the Teon server for about 2 months now ( and the server excists less then a year). so i wouldn't say that Kain is the lagerst pvp server.
imo u can't tell untill u played all servers but don't think people will do that since i agree on your lvl 60 theorie

ive played a character to 70 on each server. here's the skinny: lots of pvp on kain, lots of party recall on dev. everyone else is somewhere in between. except on hindemith -- i think i saw one other player on that server, but it turned out it was just another npc.

ooo a red war? how fucking cool is that. We go red everyday on people who arent war tagged. It is impossible on kain to get a war from every we want to cause the game doesnt allow it. Why do we do wars and not just pk every time? Cause there are to many enemies for both side to just be going red on everyone else. The very next corner there will be more people, and then after that, there will be more. If kain was just to do straight up 4% fights or pk fights, no one would have gear cause of how many people are against other people on out server.

Im glad that you can go red, then not have to worry about other people coming to kill you while red. Im sure you guys have plenty of time each night to do the sin eater a couple times and still get a good exp night on cause you dont have to worry about enemies coming to try and kill you.

Every server has its own pvp. Some would argue that their pvp is better than other servers but that is a matter of opionon. One server may have mass pvp everyday while another it is just random accounts of one verse one action. I wouldn't base your choice on what others say cause everyone has their own spin on how good everything is, but I would take into consideration what is the population on each server. The more people there are the more people you can kill. Also the statements that you won't have much pvp until your in your 60s or you won't be effective until that lvl is wrong. You can pvp at any level you like it just depends on who you are fighting. If you join a high level clan that fights other high level clans then yes you will probably need to be around 60 to really start making an effect, but no server is just made up of 60+ characters because everyone rerolls and everyone starts at lvl 1. If you want pvp don't wait till you are lvl 60+. Waiting till you are 60+ won't make a lick of difference if you do not know how to play your class and based upon your choice (tyrant) you will need to know how to play your class. What targets you should be going after, what totems to use and when, what benefits do you get from your items or tats that can alter your effectiveness against each class, what effect other classes will have on your character whether it be nuker, archer, tank, even a healer and how you can counter those effects. All those things are taken into account when fighting another person and those things are best learned from experience not by being told from people on these forums.

except for when you reroll you can be lvl 60 in a week so most servers are lvl 60+
