FFXIV 8hours exp/week?

Ok explain some1 advantages of this system. Was thinking at giving a try to FFXIV but I'm ain't gonna pay money so I couldn't play.

I'm by far not hardcore but 8hrs a week is bullshit.

Everyone is limited to 8h for PvE? What a scam! Well, seriously, they could at least do it in different way, like for 8h you are getting 100% xp, the next 4h you get like 66%, next 4h 33% or w/e. It's still same bullshit, if I were limited to 8h, I would have big dilemma, either to do as much xp as I can or help some friend if he is asking me, and suffer from not being as much efficient as in first option. That kind of system is morally doubtful.

I'm not sure my self because it's hard to find reasonable explanation but it seems so that you can get only 8 hours of exp per week.

You just switch weapons and start working on a new class/craft, not like that makes it any better it's still terrible.

And in CB3 their UI was still unreasonably laggy and they refuse to put in hardware mouse support according to an interview, game is whack. Looks pretty but that's about it, no amount of content can make up for having to struggle with the shitty UI from day 1.

I dunno what's changed between CB and OB because I haven't bothered playing since the CB, but if the menus/UI delay isn't tweaked I won't be bothering with it. It took like 10 minutes to sell trash to npcs. T_T It's just like... everything is ruined the moment you have to bother with any menus, which in FF mmos is a lot. luls

Also I don't think many people will be pulling 60 frames in FFXIV, and without hardware mouse support that means hella mouse lag. =/ Maybe they just want everyone to use a controller but even in CB3 you couldn't use some of the menus without a mouse because for some reason the drop-down boxes didn't show content unless you actually clicked them lol.

Someone in OB will give a better opinion I'm sure and I'll give it another look come release because I'm sure the content will be there, it's just the above problems ruin it for me. :(

Open beta experience: If there would be 2 MMO's out there 1 L2 where you would have to pay 50$ a month and FFXIV for free I would pay for l2 anytime.

From today I will have nightmares about this game... Only thing I liked was the look of the game. It was really nice.

the mouse runs slow as shit

and the game didnt look like it was pushing 60 fps but my vid card fans were working retard hard plus theres no goddamn vsync option
