Laptop issue

Ok so I have an issue, laptop doesn't boot windows.

Once I press power button as usual f2 option for bios/f12 for multi boot menu appears and after that... nothing. Black screen. However screen is lighted, just windows doesn't boot or in other words nothing happens.

Tried shitload of things from taking battery out, powering up w/o battery inside to restoring bios defaults etc nothing seems to work.

Interesting thing is once I take HDD out and try booting exactly same happens as it would be inside. After bios - nothing. I assumed maybe HDD died however HDD is recognized by bios and it seems to be working once laptop is being powered.

So I would like to ask whether I should order new HDD for laptop or there's other cause for windows not loading up.

Sound's like the HD, call them, while booting up there's a button you can hit that brings up a utility screen to see which part's of your computer are running, which they will ask you to do anyway's if its under warranty. But it sounds like your hard drive is toast.

Try booting with cd drive support and booting off of the windows install cd. Attempt a repair of windows. If you have questions let me know. If not try a friends hdd or try a USB drive? Everyone should have one anyways can get them cheap for backing up files. If that doesn't work... Buy a whole new hdd... Sounds like that would be it. Although faulty ram and other symptoms are possible, but unlikely.
