Played this for about 4 hours tonight, I must say this game is pretty amazing.
Played through DA:O and Awakening on hard and then Nightmare a bunch , so I figured Id play this on nightmare Nightmare as well.
I must say it has been delicious so far.

Played it for about 5 hours and I think it's just horrible. Obscenely linear and dumbed down, story is boring as hell, characters are generic, gameplay is completely average. Origins was a much better game.
Pretty clear that this was intended for the console market from the get go.
Oh well... didn't have high hopes for the game anyway.
just glad i didn't buy this one

nope, i just finished it. and i lived, was praised to be the hero of kirkwall, and that i left with isabelle :)
im a lvl 15 rouge, i got to bang isabela. too bad they dont show her tits

kind of late post but way to go releasing a game where all locations are copy/paste of previous visited locations . what a let down . only thing i liked better (as in better than previous DA ) was the combat but other than that this game was forgetable at best .

Anyone who didnt play on nightmare never really experienced DA2.
Friendly Fire alone is one of the biggest game changers. You just cant drop aoes and /win on nightmare. I know that Ive killed my party by accident by having fenris do a max out whirlwind with low hp or doing a mighty blow brittle combo and the ice chunks fragging my party.

Who cares, the game in general is crap. Horribly linear, very small areas and absolutely no freedom, dungeons get repeated over and over again, loading screens behind every corner, gear is very similar in both looks and stats, 90% of the gear can only be used by your hero character... I could go on and on.
One of the worst RPG's I've played in a long time.
Playing on Nightmare is not about skill, it's about having the right party combination, exploiting the enemy AI and hoping that a group of enemies doesn't spawn right on top of you.
It's just sad to see how the developers have taken the easy way out when it comes to making the game more challenging. Instead of having a larger variation in enemies, giving them a wider array of skills and tactics they can employ and making the AI smarter in general, they simply spawn enemies from thin air one wave after another. Pathetic really.
Sad excuse for a game, Bioware should be ashamed (tho EA bears at least half the blame, since I'm sure they rushed the game).
At least there's Witcher 2 and Skyrim to look forward to.

I'm really scared that Bioware might really fuck ME3 up, considering what they did with DA2.
Compared to ME1 ME2 was already much more action oriented and less RPG'ish. I didn't mind it tho, for some reason. I just hope that this time around they don't dumb it down even more.

Mass effect is the bread and butter of the franchise. They will not mess it up. What im afraid of tho, is that the 2nd was so amazing, it gunna be hard to follow it.
