hey, i just got some new hardware, i got a 7800gtx for my graphics card, but it seems to overheat playing some games, like nfsu 2, when i have it on 1280 rez and half graphics i play for about 10 min and my pc turns off and the vc is red hot, it doesnt happen when its on 1024 rez, but it should be able to handle it on high and 1280 i would think. as for my case cooling, i have 4 fans 2x 80mm fans blowing out the back, 1x 80mm blowing the side, 1x 120mm blowing up at the bottom of my videocard. also, the vc only gets hot on the top, since i put the fan under it. and idea's would be a help.

Check your video card settings within windows for CPU Thermal Throttling, and overheat shutdown temperature. Adjust them for your likings.
I think there might be problem with PSU.
Your pc can crash coz of voltage shortage. You have some fans , i bet 1 hhd or even two , it all eats alot of power.
U need at least 450+W PSU , i would recomend geting like 550-600 one.
SeaSonic S12 600W ATX12V 2.0 Silient 12 cm fan. Very good psu , will last you for few years also its like one of few PSU compactible with ATX 12V v2.2 standard.
