What are the damage equations for Magic and Melee damage? and how do they translate into actual damage? and where did you find them!

Patk*70/pdef, random damage modification based on weapon type
Taken from Prima c1 guide, not actually tested.
Edit:For magic damage, see below.

The equations are accurate.
Updated with more Data
The previous 1.3^N*(Power + P.atk) is not accurate, and I retract it as the equation for damage calculation.
That being said here are my new findings.
Test Case:
Gladiator Attacker P.atk 1040
Defender P.def 780
Observed Results using Sonic Blaster (Power 1626)
0x Overcharge 239 Damage Dealt
1x Overcharge 310 Damage Dealt
2x Overcharge 382 Damage Dealt
3x Overcharge 454 Damage Dealt
4x Overcharge 526 Damage Dealt
5x Overcharge 598 Damage Dealt
6x Overcharge 669 Damage Dealt
I approached the effects of overcharge on a modifier on final damage not on pre-resolution effective power (P.atk+skill power).
Proof:
In the example of 0x overcharge :
(1040 + 1626) * 70 / 780 = 239 Damage
This is inline with the observed damage dealt, based on this the overall increase of damage per overcharge was recorded.
All numbers below are rounded down creating a +/- 1% variance.
1x OC = 29%
2x OC = 59% (23% Delta)
3x OC = 89% (18% Delta)
4x OC = 120% (15% Delta)
5x OC = 150% (13% Delta)
6x OC = 179% (11% Delta)
Taking the max overcharge damage as an example :
239 damage x 2.79 = 666 damage, which given our rounding error makes this correct within the 1% variance.

Thats pretty damn cool... anyone know the details on CDL?

It's not quite right
Magical damage = Skill Power*91*Sqrt(MAttack*4)/Mdef
where 4 - effect of blessed spiritshot, doubles MDamage

Edited..
Actually hold on you added *4, why would we *4 for a base value?
If you add items into the mix you are inflating MAttack outside of the damage calculation.
It's not quite right
Magical damage = Skill Power*91*Sqrt(MAttack*4)/Mdef
where 4 - effect of blessed spiritshot, doubles MDamage
Thank you for the correction. You appear to be 100% correct. Prima was wrong again yay~~~

My formula for Sonic skills that i've used:
(((Sonic lvl - 1 ) x 0.3 ) + 1 ) x (Skill power + Patk) x 70 / Pdef
focus 7 with sonic blaster power 1626 (as below)
(((7 - 1) x 0.3) +1 = 2.8
(1626 + 1040) = 2666
2666 x 2.8 = 7464.8
7464.8 x 70 / 780 = 669.9 (guessing any decimal digits are automatically dropped and not rounded)
The equations are accurate.

I have a question here:
The sonic lvl is how many lvls you charged or overcharged?
If using TSS with 7 charges, it should be 7-3 = 4? or 7-1 = 6?

Calculating mage damage with BSPS, SPS, and no bsps or sps.
If bsps are used,
2{[Skill power * 91 *(SQRT of m.atck)]/m.def}
If sps are used,
1.5{[Skill power * 91 *(SQRT of m.atck)]/m.def}
If no bsps or sps are used,
[Skill power * 91 *(SQRT of m.atck)]/m.def
a little stupid question ....
what is SQRT?... :)

[Skill power * 91 *(SQRT of m.atck)]/m.def
I think it should be 2* for bsps and 1.41* for sps.
Reason is that bsps quadruples your matk, and sqrt of 4 is 2, but sps only doubles your matk, and sqrt(2) is ca. 1.41.
So bsps doubles the damage, and sps gives only 1.41 times the normal damage.
More accurate would be:
If bsps are used,
[Skill power * 91 *(SQRT of 4*m.atck)]/m.def
If sps are used,
[Skill power * 91 *(SQRT of 2*m.atck)]/m.def
(((Matk + 270)*skill power)*blahblahblah)/Mdef
*2 with BSS
*1.41 with SpS

270 or 271 i dont remember
blahblah = lvl's gap, resistance...

i think this is right say i hav 6k m atk from max buffs available ud expect to hit for a shiit load so skill power of a necro at 74 deathspike is 103*91*(81*4)/800=3796 which is wat ud kinda expect to hit for with tht kinda m atk lol. so i thikn the x4 modifier is correct for m atk calc
