If you do, here's a nice faceplate (http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000740070838/) to go with your system.

Would it be a pretty good statement of my age if I were to say that I actually used to have one of those when I was a kid? lol

All I have to say is I live in BOSTON and if I had one there is no way I'd give it up to sleep with a couple gamer chicks. Plus montreal is only a 4hr drive from my house and would be much cheaper than a premium 360.

I remember someone selling just the box on ebay and the price was over 1k usd.

I wonder if those roomates bid on it with their "services" in place of money lol

I wanna call em up, tell them I have an xbox and inform them that if I'm to part with it, our session is going to have to include a Cleveland Steamer in it at some point.

There are lots and lots of 360's on ebay for $1k and up.

After the New Year, there will be plenty. This is the way of the console. Trickle supplies near Christmas to make sure your new console stays a hot item. After they will release lots of system to boost 1st quarter sales.

I dont think u understood me it was just the box no console no game just the box it was packaged in. People want those things so bad they don't even use there heads it was made perfectly clear what it was yet people still bid on it. 1k $$ for a carboard box I would be pissed.

If I spent 1k on a cardboard box, I think I could go ahead and justify putting another $300 into a round-trip plane ticket and another $10 on a baseball bat to the sender's address to get my money back lol

If they didnt read the auction before they bid, then they arent gonna read it after they win. PayPal only FTW!!!

Not that. Has to do with mistake of acceptance. Did the person reasonably expect to purchase the xbox box rather than a xbox? You can't trick someone into forming a contract. There has to be mutual assent to what is inteded in the contract.

Much like someone at work who bought an I-Pod wholesale booklet instead of the actual I-Pod. He didn't read the ad thoroughly, and reckoned HE'D been scammed?

Remember back in the day where pepsi had that commercial selling stuff for pepsi points, and the harrier was 7,000,000 points or something like that? Someone tried to get the harrier, and wasn't considered a valid contract. 2 tests, objective and subjective. Would an objective person believe this to be a reasonable offer? This is normally the standard. But if someone subjectively knows the other party is not serious about his promise, then cannot bind that person to his promise.

People fail to read licenses and contracts all the time. It doesn't mean they automatically assent to all terms in the license/contract.
