With most new games...everything has its ups and downs.. Let me share wut i think..

The Good
The stronger your skills cuz of how much u use it...there are two argurments on it. One its better so people wont be limited to thier lvls. So lower lvls wont be bossed around by other higher lvls that just gains strength thro lvls and not mastering skills.

Not losing ITEMS...especially in lineage. Losing one valuable item is like being in a car accident. Items are soo costly in l2 and the prices are rising so where noobies who first join the game are forced to quit due to lack of money/weapons/armors or they just join the others in ebaying.

Graphics are something that brought me to lineage. i stand at no opinion at it. u never know the graphics might change when it comes to america.

The Bad
The skill mastery thing. It would suck bacause then it would take away from lvling. people would just pve low lvls to master skills and uber one skill. meaning u can die from a skill from a lowbie lower then u...even tho u might have top armor (i havent played it yet but i imagine it would be like this) everyone would just be the same char with one uber skill cuz of the no down time.

NO matter wut kinda game it is SOMEONE will find a way to make money from this game..so lets leave out the possibility that there won be farmers or ebayers. Example: Diablo 2 is free yet u can buy stuff even tho u can find them easily in drops.

PvP: this will be the most talked about. Since there is no cost to dieing and such (only to honor PT) people really have no "motivation" to go hunt other people. Losing exp or items is like a restriction. its like telling people to be SMART on wut you do when it comes to pvp. now people will just freelance and pvp everyone and everything they see. this is for those "carebears" afraid to pvp when there are penalties. Going red is a way to keep the "police" in the game cuz people liked to hunt reds or would run away from them...this was before sieghardt got out of hand. but you get the idea.

Once again the nukers are uber i this game from wut i hear other people are saying. o well.

Skill leveling -- there's a skill PT cap for low level, so a low level will never be able to kill a high level. It's just for developing characters in different ways.

Archers are medium damage in this game, not high damage like warriors/mages, but they have invisibility/hide/cloaking powers. They also have insane elemental resistance, good run speed and evasion.

Nukers get killed easily, and the mechs have like 150k hp but cannot use potions... the game is focused on mass PvP, there is not going to be the lone nuker able to kill same level warrior or ranger in the game 1v1.

As for ebay, maybe you are right in that, but I really hope the company that is publishing it does something about botters and crap like that. I love this game already and just hope it won't be overrun by farmers... :/

If you'd played the phRF beta you'd know that eBay in RFO is like eBay in WoW, totally and utterly unneccessary, you'll almost always have enough for your level of armour/weapon and pots to level, the only things that may affect it is Bellato MAU's but we have to wait for retail to see how the taxing works. There will be eBay and there will be farmers, but nowhere near to the extent and impact of say L2, since having the currency doesn't benefit you much, not to mention CM's pretty clever plans of managing botters/farmers :)

RFO is all about team-based PVP, there's no such thing as 1v1 because it'll always come down to who has the most pots, it boils down to how co-ordinated you are and being able to focus fire on priority targets to take them out through their potspam, as for zergs, meh maybe but polls show that popularity for each race is almost identical so it shouldn't be a problem.

is there a difference between the UK and US version ? (ie sorta like wow) or will that be the same release ?
if the latter is the case, will there be suggested european servers ?
I signed up for the beta, is that only for US people ? (im european) or will i have a chance of getting in ?

Game looks really great, and i need a new mmorpg as im a tad burnt out on L2 and WoW atm

This game is a grinder's heaven past 40... took a single hardcore Korean a year to get max level 50 and he is the only one right now, but in the NA version rumors have it that the exp rate will be boosted.

/me stays far away from this game :-?

I was accepted in a ton of these RFO things.... but the updater doesn't like me.

I've tried everything... from port fowarding, proxies, time zone DL managers... the works. It's not happening for me =(

Can't wait till its release. ^^ I wanna try it. I like to try out all the games, but Lineage 2 is the only one I stuck too.

Ive been trying to read up on this game. Found a couple of good sites that show class trees, skill lists, and all armor pics. But i cant find anything what tells you a description of the classes in each race. I am likeing the Accretia (think thats how u spell it) warrior but dont know anything about the different classes other then their names. If anyone thinks they can help me by telling me a website or a guide that could help or could PM or something, it would really help.
