I know this question has been asked a lot before, but I am curious to what most ppl think the best tat set-up is for a TH PvP wise. Now I know that the patk on a weap doesn't really affect ur specials dmg too much but my question is, is it worth it to + str and +dex at the cost of con for a TH. I mean they have a lot, and I know that it's almost a must for a th to go +dex, but does the + str really affect dmg on specials significantly? And if it does, what's a good + to go? The thought of +5 dex, +4 str, and - 9 con kinda scares me. But I cant help but thinking I need some kinda + to str. Well ne thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Go +dex and +str for PVE, then once you're 75, go -str, +dex, +con for pvp

you want as much con as possible which = as much hp cp = more time to spam specials.
your regular hits arent what will kill people it will be your specials so you want to be able to completely drain your mp bar so +++ hp

+str +dex should work fine for pvp with a TH, daggers with strong regular hits are scary.

This screenshot should give u some idea of what a TH can do without using specials in PvP

I was only 60 when I took this, I am now 62 (don't flame the PvP score, 1-60 in under a month). From the few PvPs I have gotten into I can tell you that against robe/light users all I have to do is turn on VS and Guidance and I can do massive damage. IMO the + Str, + Dex setup is the way to go. A dagger user is not going to last in PvP, the goal should be to get in and hopefully take out one or two soft targets. Maybe NC will one day fix daggers users but until then we have to work with what we got :(

Works for me:

Thinking of taking off the +wit and adding +4dex...would put me at -9str though :P

Well yah that tatoo is a good setup. +5 con is nice becuase you add to hp/cp so you last longer to deal some damage with your specials. -5str is also good because I think personally a dagger though against glads that I fought the most critical i got with SS was like 123 and this was against a level 63 so you cant depend on that much. Your better off getting your specials to land. The nightmare works with this set because you gain dex and then only lose 1 con so it offsets. AS a dagger most I know even me cant afford a MM dagger for pvp so next best thing I think would be soul seperator w/ crit damage. The nightmare light also gives -70 percent chance of being slept/hold. On top of that if you get a tatoo -4 int +4 WiT you get even more resistance to sleep/hold. All in all this setup I described is good for a TH in pvp. About adding additional dex well the -4 str is enough because going -9 str is huge and you will notice the less damage with your specials. 31 dex is not that great as it is but TH already get many crit passives and boost attack speed.

I pvp alot, and I'm still loving a +4 str +5 dex (With DC Light.. so really +5 str +5 dex -10 con) setup. In group pvps, if they're assisting 1 person like they should be doing, when they come around to you you're dead no matter how much HP/CP you have. And I still don't stun easily (and an even better setup, imo, would be +4 dex +4 str and Majestic Light for stun resistence and the weight bonus helps too, I imagine with ss, cp pots, etc). On crits with buffs (P.atk buffs and crit power buffs counting BD dances) on robe users I can top 1.2k.. with a focus dagger with songs, dances and prophet buffs thats 441 crit rate @ 932 attack speed and 1.2k damage a crit on robes..(about 750~900 on light armor, 400~550 on A grade heavy) thats alot of damage. Just make sure you have resist shock and btb and you're fine.. I don't plan on changing my setup anytime soon atleast.

yah but you use your bow more than your dagger though^^ so im just talking about dagger use only. Not everyone rich enough to afford an A grade dagger and a bow. but yah -9 str is okay because with A grade bow you can crit for huge damage anyways. Without a high level bow bad way to go.

ya.
-9 str make bow dmg weaker
but most of the pvp is close combat..
i use MM dagger more than bow unless siege.:hf_luv:

this is my TH pvp seting
Dc light set
+7 demon sword w/MM
+7 carnage w/ light
(i pick this SA coz i carry more pot & SS..
sounds stupid but carry a lot more CP pot :P
mostly siege use)
+5 CON , +4 dex ,-9 STR

Why not get a maj light set for the extra weight bonuses too? It should also be good for siege cause of that extra bow p.atk, not to mention a little more mp so you might get off a few more specials.

I will post it here too:

+5 dex gives TH:

+2 accuracy
+8 critical
+3 evasion
+5 moving speed
+25 attack speed

I took off that dex tattoo from my TH coz simply it just sux. Does not give me anything good and takes away either -5 str or -5 con and afterall waste of around 2mils aa..

Much worth is to increase what TH has most, either CON or STR, to increase STR is good till u are <70, and after 70+ u can increase CON and be the meat :) Somebody told me that tattoos significantly more effects base stats which are 40 and higher, so TH has 40 STR and 43 CON and just 30 DEX then last 1 is worthless to increase.

My TH setup:

+4WIT -4INT
+5CON -5STR or +5STR -5CON

DC light gives u +1 STR, +4% att speed and p att, and -1 CON + 50% resistance to paralysis.
