View Full Version : L2 doesnt respond
Hi all, so I downloaded the C3 client from the official site on my new laptop, installed the game, etc.. And when i launch the automatic update by clicking on the icon on the desktop, nothing happens... the application just doesn't respond and makes my laptop freeze a lot, it cannot even restart because the L2 application makes him lag as hell.
I updated windows and the drivers for my video card, but the problem still occurs :( anyone else have this kind of problem?
Btw my laptop is the Toshiba Satellite M70-168 (I know it's far from being the best laptop but still better than my previous one lol) and my video card is Mobile Intel (R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family..
Thanks for your answers

ask GM's for better graphic card, and buy the CD. Or download the game again. If dat doesn't work, contact the gm and tell them that the client you downloaded from the official web doens't work.

GM's will not usually help you out of game, because then they are supporting your hardware.
Try re-installing the lineage 2 executeable but in safe mode.
1. Download the executeable
2. Reboot
3. WHILE REBOOTING, tap the f8 key once every second, which will bring up a list.
4. Choose safe mode with networking
5. Click yes when it boots up and asks if you want to stay in safe mode
6. Install L2
7. Reboot.
I don't know if this will work, as it will not detect any drivers or anything, but it may resolve the issue if you have possibly some non-related corruption.

that's an onboard video..
honestly, you cant expect to run this game with onboard video.

LIES!
I just recently bought a comp, and it came with Radeon Xpress GFX or some shit and it ran L2 just fine, but runs much better now with my 6600GT.
Radeon, a graphics manufacturer, even though integrated into the motherboard, will smoke an intel graphics adapter as far as comparison goes.
Radeon includes programmable vertex shaders and pixel shading, although not worth using on Integrated. You also have 4-6 pipelines on this card, allowing faster drawing of new frames.
Intel offers: well, a picture. No environmental bump mapping, no prog. vertex shaders, 2 pipelines. This means that this is a gamer's choice, (if gaming is minesweeper.)
