It has been confirmed, in Japan around February they will release this game on PS2 with new features such as:
Cinematics gallery (I loved those cinematics!!!!)
Play as Vergil!!!!!! OMG I nearly fell out of my chair reading this. He is the best character ever :def_luv2: :def_luv2: :def_luv2:

2 owned to me, the best chara designs of all of them, even though I really dug the younger looking Dante. Vergil looked really cool in 3 though. Are they making the special edition easier? I know it put off alot of people because it was so damn hard...
