Yeah 24 is pretty damn good, better than most lame shows, it actually holds my attention for longer than 5 minutes, it holds it thru the whole show.

the rest of the shit is like simpsons, south park, 70's show and reruns like that.

i also like adultswim, but i dislike most anime. samuari champloo is an anime i must watch tho.

I wonder when CTU realizes that when sending a key member of the CTU staff (who isnt Jack Bauer) to an unsecured location, sending two unnamed, never seen before, agents as escort arent enough to safely finish the mission.

I guess it will happen when those guys who build the starships in Star Trek come up with a non-exploding console

24 is pretty lame, dunno what's all the hype about it - this is the fourth season they're rehashing the same old themes. Mule in CTU? Check. Division egomaniac with no clue bound to reorganize and screw up CTU just right in the middle of a BFCrisis? Check. Totally frikken unbelieveable conspiracy story? Check. People Jack cares about running right into the arms of terrorists so they can conveniently blackmail Jack? Check. Sorry man, this show wasn't as good as everyone claimed in the first season, and even less so in the following four... So I'd vote for "24 is a slightly above average show" but that option isn't there, or is it?

And whoever listed CSI Miami as a good show prolly needs to go see a doctor, of all CSIs this is with a huge lead the worst :grin:

I have the collector's edition box of all previous seasons .. just my kinda thing. But mega .. i understand what you're saying .. but when you compare 24 with other shows .. uhhuh.

Seasons 1 and 2 were somewhat acceptable. The stupidty of human behaviour were (and still are) far off the limits, but for the sake of a just entertaining show, let's put them away.

But... season 3 and 4, when people doing this show decided to discover voodoo-magic world of computer science in general... geez. Sorry, they lowered themselves to the level of Alias. Or below.

At least season 5 is a bit better.

Well .. i myself love 24. Personally i love Season5 .. watched episode12 yesterday .. and the ending .. i mean .. wow. I have the collector's edition box of all previous seasons .. just my kinda thing. But mega .. i understand what you're saying .. but when you compare 24 with other shows .. uhhuh.yeah sure, it's a lot better than many other shows, I don't mean it's a bad show but IMO the hype is way too much, it's not justified. I watch every episode, I own the first three seasons on DVD and the 4th and 5th (so far) I downloaded, and I wanna know how the story continues, yet most of the time it's to see whether I'm right with my predictions based on what stupidities they pulled off in the last seasons and episodes. Example? The chase for mister über terrorist in season 4. They got him. He pulls a trick and disappears, two episodes later they get him again, and of course he can escape yet again - at the first time already it's predictable, at the second time it's boring, after the third ridiculous. And they do that what, about six times? Not to mention the stupid people just piss me off, so much that I don't freaking care if the writers decided to murder another main character for "suspense".

And what soltys said, the "oh look we have a new device that can do magic" level of technology they use is simply stupid. I don't mind ridiculous tech gadgets in a James Bond movie, but 24 started with the premise of being an almost realistical show, right down to the realtime format (which is actually as unbelievable as the whole rest of the plot, unfortunately).

Yeah, this killing off 95% of CTU is getting old... /sarcasm

That's part of the beauty of the show imo, knowing that Jack Bauer is going to kick some terrorist ass each and every episode.

BG2003, Firefly (excluding full film), even Lost are better shows imo. To name a few.
