My good box died, so now I'm stuck with this, I'm wondering if it's enough to play the game well before I waste money/time.

AthlonXP 3500+
Radeon 9800 Pro
1gb DDR 400 Mem

Whacha think? =/

i'm going to say yes, but i don't know.

check out forum planet: bf2 (http://www.forumplanet.com/planetbattlefield/forum.asp?fid=7419). a friend of mine got the game without knowing his card wasn't supported, then found help/info there.

No I'm not, considering I can only play at Medium and still get some graphics lag I'd say my computer isn't impressing me right now..

I find it hard that you can only play on Medium, my brothers computer is a:

Pentium 4 2.2 GHZ
768mb 2100 DDR ram
Radeon 9600 XT

and he plays perfectly on medium settings. You should be able to play on a much better setting then that.

The main setting that gives some texture caching when you first enter a map is "texture".. try setting that to medium and everything else high (maybe some lighitng to medium too), you should be able to run it just peachy with that setup.

Or try updating your vid drivers, i have a 9800pro and the ones that came with it werent that good... I have almost the same system your running now, and even at high all the way around mine runs perfect, no lag, skipping nothing. Sounds like software to me.

I run the game perfectly. I haven't messed with the graphics at all since ive been in game and i get no lag. I get around 60 fps constantly. For those of you who don't belive me ill take a picture of my specs and a picture of my FPS in game.
