Im having exactly the same problem, with roughly the same route to the server with roughly the same problematic hops. Did anyone know how to fix this??

I have the same problem also.
I can only play between the hours of 05:00 to 14:00 however today has been an exception, ive been able to play until 18:00.
Last time I looked there was a 16 page thread on the Offical forums covering this issue, it was stickyed at the top until NCSoft wormed their way out of the issue ... passing the blame to 2 big router companies who when you phone them tell you are not a customer of theirs and they will not help you.
Some people put some pressure on NCSoft, all it done was to make them un-sticky the thread in the hope it will vanish.
Bascily I see there is only two options, change the ISP you use to one which dont go though the stupid routers which make these lag issues, or just cancel subsciption like alot of peope are doing. I find it very sad that NCSoft dont do anything about this when clearly its effecting there customers.
I have tried to contact NC Support only to get the retarded check your directX bullshit, when they finally accepted to read the .txt file (that there ping program they tell you to download) they said it was not there issue, contact my ISP or these router companies which - in all fairness will not change a thing as big companies do not lisen to just a single person.

Hey headhunter would you happen to be using NTL broadband because i have the same problem too, for over a week now and its really pissing me off. Btw 2 other people who come from england who also uses NTL broadband get the same problem too.
@Azulenia where abouts do you come from and what internet provider do you use?

Hey i am on TEOn on NTL and i lag like shit too, unplayable. I think the problem is even more widespread than any1 realises.
It isn't NTL that is at fault but a peering point in Amsterdam which it uses. If you goto www.visualroute.com and download the free trial there, you will see what route your connection takes. Type in "www.lineage2.com" as I believe it takes the same route and the game server. The problem occurs at IP 195.69.145.133. At first I believed it to be Limelight at fault but after running multiple trace route they found it to be that IP which is the problem.
After hours on the phone to NTL's broadband support, they agreed this was the problem. I was told to call tomorrow and ask to talk to the level 2 support and they could fix it by connecting through another path I believe. I suggest doing this tomorrow.

I would appreciate it if you could let me know your final outcome (Or at least post here) as I too use NTL and would dearly love to find a solution.
I can then telephone NTL myslef.

NTL is bullshit anyhow, it just sucks im out of range for BullDog.
I just pay my NTL subscription for them to give the stupid paki bastards a job over in umpa lumpa land so the smelly fuckers dont move in to my area. When you phone the support to try to attempt to talk to these infidals they have no understanding of what the problem is they are most prob reading from some scroll which is 2000 years old.
Its just retarded that in this day and age if a problem happens like this no company will lisen to you

I have spoke to NTL just and they are going to further investigate tomorrow 18 May and the guy on the other end said there was definate Lag at certain times!!!
He has given me a couple of proxy addies to go through in the mean time.
Is there any way of running Lineage 2 through proxy server?
Thanks for any help and if you are on NTL - call them and make them more aware!!

If it helps my internet connection, then yes :P
OK I called NTL and after ages on the phone, they finally agreed to send my trace routes to the technical department. They said it takes 72 hours from the Technical team to get back to them, so looks like you'll have to put up with the lag for the weekend.
I'm looking for another ISP in the mean time just in case.

i'm with talk talk >.> but have lag too, this sucks as i am only 62 and started in november loool i don't wanna quit yet
You should download that trace router and see if it goes through the IP number I posted. I'm just curious to see if there are other ISP's taking the same route from the UK and causing them lag for that reason.

I dont know how the router thing works, but Id think 90% of all the ISPs would go via the same router to the US ... as BT owns 90% if not more of the telephone exchanges, NTL and other ISPs just rent space at the telephone exchange - even tho a few years back NTL dug up half of england to lay telephone lines of their own they still go though the same pipes over seas. :om_swt:

It seems to be slightly better for me, however am still getting 10% packet loss on some of the hopes to the server and in game is still slightly laggy. But a vast improvement i would say.
