Q&A with the Zariche owner on PTS

Q: You're the first to acquire the item. Where did it drop?
A: I'm actually not the first. My main class is a lvl77 Stormscreamer. I was levelling my lvl60 Dark Avenger sub.. went to help a friend level on Doom Knights in FG when it dropped.
She got the sword first but, she said she couldn't handle it and didn't want it. I remembered that you needed to die to drop it, so I PKed her, and picked up the dropped sword.

Q: Aren't you subclassed Destroyer right now?
A: Since the Zariche is a two-handed sword, I figured I needed to try it on a Destroyer. So I erased my 63 DA and resubbed a Destroyer. I'm now lvl50.

Q: What's the grade? And how do soulshots work?
A: There's no grade and no level req. No class req either.
And so it doesn't use any soulshots, but I think it's stronger than any A grade sword using SS.

Q: What's the effect on your stats
A: The sword's stats are 361 p.atk and 137 m.atk (same as the hero weapon Infinity Cleaver) but I don't think that means much. I think the stat changes depend on class.
When I try it on fighter classes just the p.atk goes up but when my lvl77 Stormscreamer equipped it my p.atk and m.atk both went up. My m.atk was over 3k.
When my lvl63 DA had it on my p.atk was about 3k, p.def 3k, m.def around 3k? I've tried it on so many classes I forget all of them but, the stats go up really high.

Q: Have you tried PvPing against other classes?
A: Recently I fought 3 lvl78 nukers with my lvl63 DA. One died, the other two BSOEd.
The CP is much too high and on fighter characters the p.def and m.def go up significantly. It was hard to damage me, and even if they get through my CP, the sword has a VR effect so sometimes I'll even regen it right back.

Q: Does VR help when you hunt mobs too?
A: Of course. Since it seems that the heal rate of VR is percentage based, everytime I hit a mob I get back over 100 HP. I had no downtime soloing.

I tried soloing a group of 10 mobs at DVC heart on my lvl63 DA.

Everytime I kill a player, the timer on it cuts down an hour. I have about 129 hours left now.
I read that it gets stronger the more people I kill, but I couldn't really tell. I don't really see a difference.

Q: Have you tried fighting any heros?
A: When a hero hits me, my CP goes down to 0. Same thing happens when I hit a hero. The hero's CP goes down to 0. But because of the VR effect on the sword, even if the hero damages my HP I get it right back by attacking him. The p.def also goes up high enough to handle any hero.

Q: Any other issues you've found while having this weapon equipped?
A: I can apply to Dusk but after restarting the game it says I'm not registered.
I can't get any outside buffs or heals, just self-buffs. So I have to rely on pots and it's slow to move around. I also can't use any shops.
As soon as I equipped it I became red and my karma is at 999999+.
I can't even move it to my inventory or any the trader window so I can't show anyone.

Q: How many have you killed in PvP?
A: 12, apparently. 1 PK, but.. it's weird. When I first picked it up, I PKed a bunch of people around me. atleast 4. But my stats say I have 1.

Q: I heard you get alerts on how much time the weapon has left. How does that work?
A: I get a system message saying I have 129 hours left. The time gets reduced by an hour per every character I kill.

Q: What's your PvP / PK stat now?
A: I think there's a bug or something with that. I don't think my stats reflect the times I've killed.

on death you are guarenteed 100% to drop the sword and nothing else, this is how it passes constantly from one person to another

one problem i see, is since you can only rely on self buffs, it would be easy to be kited to death with that thing.

it would take an archer a hell of a long time and a mage would probably run out of MP on a high lvl with that thing.
