they just need to make attacks fail a little more often on equal levels and a lot more on higher levels

than you have to put up the magic critical rate too, like archers would hit.

easiest way would be to use accurancy for nuke as well as physical damage ~
no more nuker gimping their dexterity for +con ~

Simply speaking, MEN must matter. If you fail as much with -9MEN as you would miss with -9DEX, things would already be fixed. :3

I like this idea...MEN should be like dex for mages. The lower the MEN, the greater chance a miss/fail on a nuke.

Shield block / Evasion working on nukes would mean the only classes that get completely fucked over by mages would be Destroyers, Glads, and Warlords. I think thier used to punishment in L2 anyway. =/

Making melee, and then in turn PvE (because that's too easy for mages atm) stronger instead of just fixing mages seems like a whole lot of wasted effort... :hf_swt:
-remove BSPS
-all melee get huge speed boost
-give archers/mages a little more range to compensate
-MP regen rate highly increased
-Shitload of passive magic defense
-Heavy armor users should take a lot less damage from arrows
Simple fix I win

yep, that would work fine, and fighters should be able to +men.
For a fighter doing -9 to any phisical stat is a pain in the ass.

soulshot are like blessed spiritshots 100% more dmg...
and that would make archers more strong, high lvl archer would 1 hit mages again =)

I think they only need to fix the target "Lock" system in Lineage 2. Currently you acquire target either by assissting or by clicking once or by /target and then just spam skills or attack, and the game "mechanics" do the rest.
If they removed this system and made it so you actually had to aim at your target everytime you attacked, as in other rpg's / mmorpg's, then fast melees would avoid not only physical attacks but also magic by, say, zig-zag'ing or using some dodge skills, and tanks wwould actually have to use a shield block skill.
I think this would very effectively balance things in PVP and help screw farmers too. This probably would make PVP in Lineage 2 much more skill dependent.
Just a thought.

Blessed soulshots would make archers to strong again ;)
imo if you want to change something with the spiritshots, make it so that theres a chance of failing the nuke when a blessed SPS is used..
also, give Mdef buff the same multiplier as EMP..

Interesting idea, but I think far too late in the game for that kind of game structure change... ~~
