I would say to give more variety and to add more access to other weps as a lot of the D and C aren't well circulated and most people jump at the shot at a high end D and C wep instead of the lower grade ones.

Why would anyone want to use low D / C ? (besides legitimate, masochistic noobs unable to think a bit). And there're already more than enough to choose from. How long since you've seen in game someone with tomahawk, elven bow, saber, kukuri.... ?

Most of those weapons are not low D or C, they're top D you can buy in store (1.4m weaps), some low and mid C you can trade a homu into with mammon, and a lot of top C, plus top B one handed weapons with 132 matk. How many people use SoES other than for Focus/BTB now? Maybe those 132 matk weapons will be used (only chance of that happening is if they have acumen sa or something better, obviously) for hunting too other than homu and SoM only.

Besides, personally I like overenchanted lower D/C weapons that use 2x ss/sps cuz they're more rare, look cool, and let you not lose money while killing mobs (that makes it more fun to hunt when you don't ebay).

Soltys I have a request if you will, would you post a similar pic showing some other existing weapons of different kinds (a dagger, a bow, and I think you've already covered all other types except maybe spears, but I don't care about those)... I'm just curious. (Post it for BOP and Demon Sword plz, hehe.)

I have to agree. Why introduce weapons/armor in lower grades that people always fly through, wanting to use top weapon/armor anyway? There is plenty of low grade equipment options, newer gear should be introduced at higher tiers where players use it for a much longer period of time. imo.

imo NC made a big mistake introducing S grade (the last grade) in c4 already, considering theres at least TWELVE chronicles planned. What's there to add next? yep, junk like this ~_~

Yeah I've been saying that all along too. Either they're going to end L2 sooner then they said originally or they are going to come out with further grades.

NC Soft is indeed making the game more "starter" friendly for legit players sums it up. Maybe in the next chronicles we'll see better A and S Grade stuff. In particular, I just want to see more S Grade Stuff seeing that I do have one level 76 character now.

They have alot of them, for sure. But that's just because there's so many more of all kinds there. There's tons of high level players, but there's even more mid and low. Imagine if you, all of your class, and everyone played L2 just for the ability to talk to all of your friends ingame. Maybe you'd have reached level 60. Maybe you're in your 40's. There's lots of those types around. This will help appease them, giving them more options for 'looks', not just effects.

To waste more textures for something that never will be used ?They're trying to get more players interested in the game, hince having new D/C armor/weapons, as well as the academy feature where you can be in a clan and have a mentor and have help and access to clan halls or castles and get a feel for what the game is like. a lot of newbies quit for the sheer fact that they never get to see what the game is really like because there is no one in the starter areas. they come into the game and think no one plays. in my personal opinion they need to advertise a lot with the added newbie friendly features of C5 and try to expand their player base.

You have around 100 D weapons do choose from already... For an exp period that takes from few hours to few days - it's as friendly as it can be (and it's a complete waste of few good meshes and textures). They added 6 more.

At the same time S grade has 1 / type and A has 2 / type, averagely.

I think Mystery Sword (lowest C-grade mage sword) /w Acumen would be cost-effective for healers who want to have faster casting and not spend so much on blessed Csps. Not to mention it is a good-looking sword. I don't consider this one junk.

Most of these are weapons that are currently underrepresented in the lower grades, like two-handed weapons (especially blunts) and magic swords. I for one am glad they are adding them.

Note that only one tier of S grade was added in this chronicle. They still have yet to add "top" S grade. Who knows, maybe there will be three, or even four levels of S grade? *shrug*

Casuals take several weeks in D and C - and some never leave it.

Not everyone can play the same, and that bit of expansion certainly won't hurt anyone.

The question asked on the flipside of yours is: "Why do they add such a complicated system for the very, very few people who've had the time to grind to 75 twice?"
