take those specs to a comp shop and see what they can do for that price range

personaly i've had nothing but issues with Acer systems from failing hardware to needing to reformat them as soon as you get them prefab installs are shit

Sorry, but dollar exchange rates are the crap.

5 596,50 SEK = 750,00 USD

11 193,00 SEK = 1 500,00 USD

It's not THAT crappy of a deal, especially with the 19" lcd, but it's not that great either. Could easily have built it cheaper.

Yeah, around 9k for that spec here sounds about right. But if you buy brand you also get a somewhat better warranty. That's why many "normal" people buy brand :). That, and their computer building skills are nonexistant.

Why did you buy a Pentium D?
AMD X2 for the win or wait for Intel Conroe.

The link to that page is www.datorbutiken.se but it's a swedish page. Not sure if it ships to where you live (if outside Sweden)

The only way you can mix DDR and DDR2 is if you have a board that supports both (I do) but even then that would be bad. So, no :P

Why would you even bother with DDR on an Intel anyways? Get DDR2 instead.
And you might wanna get a Western Digital Raptor drive.

For 2k I managed to build an X2 machine, abit-kn8 sli, dual 7800GT 256mb OC, 1gb OCZ plat series ddr, xfi, and 19inch fp.

I'm thinking about investing my next $2000 towards the.. "find lang a clan hall fund"
