PTS conversion

I have no idea how it happened, but one day (yesterday) I was going to log in to my usual server. While at the server selection screen, when clicking on the desired server the following text could be seen underneath "Protocol version is different. Please continue." Then I came to the usual character selection screen, everything was normal. But when the game was being loaded, it came to a stop. Instead I had and have to click on the invisible "Disconnected" box.

Several full checks later, restarts, new .ini files from friends and L2.exe's as well and 5% into a new download I'm asking what caused this and why? And is there any way to turn it back without a new install?

I too am having a similar problem, however when I get to the select server I get "Protocol version is different. Please continue." and it will not load any further. The account has been created. I am trying to log into my Epilogue server. In case it makes any difference the server and client are both on the same computer. I already have a Gracia Final server running on another computer and it works fine.
