OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2996 MHz with 510MB RAM
Video: RADEON X300 Series (6546)

Insufficient Memory.
Please check the Virtual Memory Option and avilable hard drive space.
You can check them by going to : Control Panel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings->Advanced->Virtual memory.

u have enough memory o.o, try downloading free software, FreeRAM XP PRO 1.52

btw 512 ram is no good nemore, it's standard, yes, but not enough for true gamers... 1,000 is normal now a days~

512 mb ram is indeed not much but non the less you should be able to start the game without a crit error. just do like the info recommends and go to
ControlPanel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings->Advanced->Virtual memory. set it to the fix amount of 3000 mb virtual ram and reboot.

Make sure your hard drive has a lot of free space and is defragged periodically.

If your pagefile is small, due to not enough hard drive space, then programs will have to use more Virtual memory instead. If you are low on Virtual memory as well, its a possibility as to why that is.
