so the time has come. i'm finally getting my new pc soon. i already chosen my parts that i want. thats not my question. i'm looking for a good power supply with pci-e/sli support that is at least 500w and only about $50-70 dollars.. and i dont know whats good or a smart buy in powersupplys. i also need to be able to get it from new egg and its also ATX 24pin. pls any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dont buy a cheap PSU. The PSU is the heart of your system. If it fails, there is a chance that everything might go down with it. Give a bit more and get a good one.

Agreed, cheap PSUs wont give the wottage on the box either. Which is quite important if you going t be running two beasting 160W GPU's.
SeaSonic 500 or 600 W psu o.O dont be cheap when it comes to it.

PSU is very important part of good rig , lack of power will cause crashes/overheating.
Not mention what can happen when some cheap ass psu will fail ..
