Ha I know I'm necroing a thread. But I started practicing lucid dreaming. Three days later I had one. Then I think 2 days Later I had another dream where I realized it was a dream, but it was too late and I woke up. It takes practice but I mean Two dreams, both of which I knew were dreams while I was in them, and one I controlled :). It was fun though I kind of lost control half way through. I knew it was a dream, but all of a sudden Santa Clause was saying I owed him money, so I jumped out of the window, or tried to. I had to ram the window 3 times before it broke and then I woke up and like I was in a windows MEdia player screen and it was all like an episode of family guy and it shut off in windows media player and I woke up.

How I prepared:

I constantly did reality checks. That is to say, whenever, I did, I would look at a clock, glance away and look again. Why you say? Because in a dream time often changes rapidly or strangely and you cannot dream. In my case as I was dreaming I looked at a clock (because i had developed a sub conscious pattern to perform reality checks constantly), and then I looked again, and the hand had moved backwards five minutes. Then I walked into a store and there were these women there and stuff. Then the santa part happened. The stuff is not needed to be discussed, but it was cool to have a lucid dream.

Edit: I also told myself I was dreaming. First I started off with just like a loose frame of the dream. What it was going to be about, but then I detailed it more to myself. After I got enough where I could just think, "I'm going to dream in a city, a woman is going to be here, and this is going to happen." I was able to keep thinking that, and BAM it happened.

Best dreams are the one's that play out till you wake up. then you wake up and are like omg that was a great dream i dont want it 2 stop so you go back 2 sleep and it keeps taking bizarre turns.. man i love those types of dreams.. then the 1's where you hook up with some1 youve always wanted 2 and then you wake up and it makes your day just that much better.

I got a job at the start of last week so Ive started setting my alarm clock. Ive always slept through my alarm or turned it off in my sleep. It's kind of stressing me out getting up at 7:00 everyday, and lately Ive been having dreams that Ive slept through my alarm clock, so I wake myself up every night around 4:00 or 5:00 and go back to sleep.
