Too many botters. I don't care how much Gravity improved, they are the same as during the Open Beta stage. This is NA Gravity btw.

Was a pretty fun game if you played on a decent private server (good staff, community, population, rules) but NA was shit imo.

It's a niche MMORPG because it has a pure Anime style and is 2D Sprites on a 3D Background, very individual but retro/timeless look and feel.
Also (sort of) well known for having a 50% real girl population :P

No. No. No. That's three no's there is no damned chance I'll ever say yes to anything made by that insepid team of game designers. I will not fund them or their poor excuses for MMOs.
Support creativity!
lol... I used to be a hardcore NA RO1 player. Played for two years amazingly, being their support is so god awful, it makes NA L2 look like first-class customer service.
Gravity "quality" service used to include random downtimes with no news of when servers will be up, rollbacks due to stupid mistakes on their part (correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall passwords and account names being leaked), stupid "town invasions" that lagged the hell out of everyone, and oh yeah, non-stop bad lag.
The community is quite OK, if a bit young for the most part. I log on occasionally to chat with old friends and would get so frustrated that three years later, it still lags. :/
RO1 had such potential and it was a real shame I had to leave it because I couldn't take the lag and the way they handle customer feedback. I hope Gravity upped their services for RO2. I must say it looks interesting but I would wait to see about their customer service and quality of servers before I would step foot in any game Gravity creates and maintains.
Somewhat off topic but oh and yeah, moving from RO to L2 was a shock... there were rarely any crossdressers that I knew of since when you signed up, they only let you make characters that you signed up as on the personal information form. Such a high female population too, since their graphics attracts a varied crowd. I went into L2 and was shocked to find I didn't have many people to girl chat with. :/

I never understood why american players complain about "lag" in L2/RO/WoW/any game.
Untill i found out to them anything above 150 ping is considered "bad/laggy" and they will not play it. WAKE UP! People from Europe have to play EVERY american game with 170-250 ping, people from the Middle-East and Asia even with pings above 300! They don't complain!
In L2 I have a standard lag of about 1.5 seconds when targetting/clicking on the ground/opening inventory/everything I do. I've never complained and it didn't really hinder me. Yet I see US players with 130 ping complain about quitting a game..
Weaksauce imo.
I quite understand what you are saying, Lance, since most of the people I play with are Euros and I don't nearly DC as much as they do, but it doesn't excuse some things Gravity does (or should I say, 'does not do'). That was my point. Sieging, which was one of the few things worth playing for in that game, froze screens for most everyone, even those with normally very good connections. If you have sieged there, you can't deny that the one interesting aspect of the game is greatly hurt because it takes so long to move from point A to B, nevermind even trying to communicate within game if you aren't on TS or Ventrillo. Complaining/whining about lag, whether or not others have it worse off than you, does not matter. Acknowledging a problem is the first step in getting something done about it.

Gravity actually shaped up a bit recently and seem to be a pretty strong company.
I've been playing for a couple weeks now since I restarted and I've not been dc'ed once and no serious lag, and no downtime.
Impressed ^_^
the trailer makes that game look awesome, cant wait to see some of the end game stuff for it, ill most likely pick that up i wish i could get into closed beta
