This is complete bullshit. They can't even implement IPv6 what makes you think that all of a sudden Cisco is going to start implementing Verizons or AT&T QoS protocols which add extra overhead to IP packets and everyone is going to upgrade their firmware?

I support the idea of governmental supervision (I'm guessing that this is what the thread is about), I have no plans of researching how to make liquid bombs and stick them in my shoes to blow up planes, so by all means government supervise away. As long as it doesn't effect my time management hell they can have my L2 info, a government trying to stop another 9-11 attack isn't going to give a shit about porn seekers or weed researchers or suicide attendents.
