If NcSoft had given a shit about botting i would think that petitioning would be the way to go, but as always, "they are working on the issue trying to target who bots and studying them for legal issues"

Only community could save this from being teon2, but i'm afraid that having such percents of ex kain/teon players...community wont give a shit, until they get another dead server like kain, since drama, and everything that start the exciting part about pvp on this game uses to start on the pve ground (ksing, shittalking, etc)

Not to talk about pissing off your enemy cause of taking out his hours of work, in a server where high level players will be just botters, and legit players wont flag back to them cause of the level difference, botters will feel like on a 100x rated server, where pvp is pointless.

It has been said always that this game doesn't really takes skills to be played properly, so it will be a FPS game, but without skills involved...sad.

i'm hoping a few good legit leaders band together and mount some type of resistance...if they don't have numbers there is simply no way they can compete against the botters...and if the botters band together then its pretty much over

if the botters take over...then im back to bartz to wait for lineage 3

as i said before i only have a few hours to play on average so i wouldn't be able to lead a clan

i would be able to help any legit leaders in any way i can though...planning strategies and propaganda of course

if the legits could put their differences aside for a few months...help each other get castles and such...it would be an interesting dynamic...between the botters and the legits

if the botters are well organized and have large numbers...it would be impossible to stop them...however, if they fight among themselves and divide into different factions...while the legits banded together...then perhaps the legits could manage to take a weaker castle and slowly build the strength to compete with the botters

what i'm concerned about is many honest players are looking at the situation and quitting immediately which of course is not good for either side as the population will shrink the same way most of the other servers have

so i'm hoping some of the stronger legit clans are actively talking to each other and cooperating on some level as we speak

All of you people that report bots. Have you ever thought that you may actualy report a non-cheating player ? Do you always check if this person is afk ? Do you alwas pm taht person or ask on normal chat?
Ive read on polish l2 fun site forum that some new to the game bought L2 for his 1st time, and decided to play on new server Franz. Acording to what he has said he played from 6pm to 1am or someting (Europan time) , he talked with other players (Dutch and Polish players as he's said). Next day he can not log in game. He's found out that hes account has been baned for using 3rd party applications.

Now he feels he has been used and that his money were stolen by company that provide this game.

Do you ever consider the wrong used petition effect ???

And no im not saying you to stop petition on bots. But make sure you wont harm legit player. Pettioning someone that is soloing without asking him first trough pm or normal chat is just plain evil. Someone's said - if player is not using ss then he is botting. Guess what - if someone makes 2 chars on acc he doesnt have all that tons of newbie ss as 1st toon so ....

umm ur dumb 1st of all, ok you can craft almost every item in the game for really cheap if u get and/or buy the mats so something in shop for 1 mil could be crafted maybe for 200k, so now ... bots will start botting up money for u to buy off ebay or what not, and they will set the new prices for all straight up items (stuff u can buy off ppl in shops in town) because if you buy money then u can spend more of it cuz u have it there to spend so why would they charge regular price when they know u have money to spend ?, they bot up mats make the item WAY faster then u can cuz there on 24/7 and sell it for w.e they want, and the more u spend the more u have to ebay again which is their mentality, so basically the more money u get off ebay the higher the prices go

If there wouldn't be any farmers around, ther wouldn't ba any market for people to buy/sell mats as mats would ave been so rare everyone would hold on for them for their own use. And you know what happens to an item price when everyone wants to buy it but no one wants to sell it? It shoots thru the roof.

Tho you don't need b/a grade unlsee your enemy has it, c rade is good until lvl 75 atleast. And full drops would actually mather.

And by being legit in L2, you're put yourself at the finish line, so you have to run around completely before you hit the real finish again.

L2 is a Korean MMO.
Korean MMOs require endless amounts of grind and collecting things.
That's good if you have no life, no job, no girlfriend, no school.

I love people paying $15 per account per month for several month to watch oog walker windows while they could get the same results on any private server for free and without those months of boredom. But there they wouldn't be higher level then the rest and loose a lot more. Poor them :dwf_cry:

i'm gona ask something to those who are very surprised to see tons of bots...
How many accounts does a normal player has?
How many accounts does a Farmer/Botter have in average?

Example : Normal Player, lets say, 2 accounts = $15 x 2 / Month = $30 / Month
Farmer/Botter, i know one that has over 150+ Accounts, and that means 150 x $15 /month = 2250$ / month

You guys think NCSoft is gona give up on that money ? i dont

Well it seems you can get legit players banned too by petitioning. I was in a legit party a couple of days ago with clannies trying to get the DSS reciepe and our who party got banned for 3rd party program. None of us use any 3rd party programs and if the gm's had actually looked at how our party was all over the place they would of seen that! So be warned, if someone doesn't like your group hunting in a spot you will most likely get banned even if you did nothing wrong. NCSoft 4 the win!

GROUPS get banned. It's much harder to prove a single person is botting. Much harder. 1 bot = safe. 10+ bots = not so much.

If you somehow manage to get banned for botting solo (Not in a group, including sitting in a farmer cata group), then you're doing it wrong.

Well you guys are going to keep seeing I think more and more legit players getting banned because of /gm and they do not investigate it. If they did the 5 of us in my party playing legit would not of been banned. And as I read more and more forums I see ncsoft has banned a lot of legit players on franz, as well as tons of bots. Now i'm all for the bots being banned, but if NCSoft does not investigate the parties at all! They will say they do but they don't. I'm not sure when I get my account back if I even want to play this game anymore. I did nothing wrong and now will be far behind everyone else when I do get it back.

If you want to help the legit players, petition the gm's and say i've been reading a lot of online forums and I see legit players as well as bots have been banned. What is going on? and send it under other. Maybe this will force NCSoft to actually investigate the accounts before banning them. They say they do but they don't trust me i'd be still playing if they did. I even gave them a time when I went afk for a phone call and wasn't moving. Told them look at how we were on different mobs a lot. And all we wanted to do was get the damn DSS reciepe for our clan. Banned for working together legitly as a team.

The gm's are banning bot parties that have been massively spammed. I have a third account I tested part of this theory and this bot party on Orc Village area has been hunting in same spot for past 24 hrs and now I have reported them twice and still the party is running. You can tell it is a bot party because when I click on the target they are going for they change target, and the other 2 characters assist the main at the exact same time every time.

Now my party that got banned was 5 of us hunting a reciepe, we died quite a bit I was boxing a healer in it and if they looked at when I was healing they would see it was all over the place. We weren;t always on the same target and I even went afk for a bit on the phone and have sent NCSoft all this info via the online support (caller idea for the win). See when I had that call I stopped moving on both characters and if NCSoft dickheads would look at that if I was botting I would of kept going. We also kept going to town to get the newbie buffs and we were all on different times to go there. We even had aplayer attack us and we chased after him and my healer got stuck on a building (was on autofollow). We didn't even have a standard person picking up the drops. I used stun a bit too randmonly as well. Only thing we had in common with a bot party was we were in a party.

There are honest legit players getting banned as well, if I was botting I would take it like a man and take the consequences but I play legit and got screwed. This problem though has happened on multiple servers over the past, some alliances on gustin got half of each others banned by mass petitioning, two alliances on teon do this too each other half the time too (but a lot of them do bot so u get what u deserve). But all it takes is mass petitions and bam the NCSoft bot will ban you a few hours later. Listen to the interview above and maybe you will see the truth.
