That's right folks, it's time for a reckoning - the keyboard versus the global censorship against what we used to have; freedom of speech.

Ten years ago neither I nor any other web administrator would have hesitated to post what they thought as they thought it on their web page. At most, you would be verbally discredited. Then the war on terrorism began. Now you can be hunted, censored, and even prosecuted.

The terrorists can take our lives, but only the government is taking our freedom. For those wondering, I am not from any religious denomination, nor any specific ethnic or cultural group. I am descended from many different races, and I have been born and raised as an Australian.

Now, let the rant begin...

The attacks on the world trade center were of a horrific nature; this is not contested. Governments around the world banded together to come to the rescue of peoples peace of mind; stepping forward to 'ensure' that the freedom of their respective countries was not threatened.

Or did they?

How many new laws has your government brought in since the various attacks? How many acts of injustice have been justified during a wartime that they cannot get away with during a time of peace? Chances are, you can name quite a few right now.

- A workers strike - a peaceful demonstration for workers rights - within Australia was recently broken up by the Police under new anti-terrorism laws.
- Freedom of speech has been removed from most people in the world. Within Australia, I simply cannot state what I think via the phone, fax, in public, or via any other moderated communications medium - and believe me, they moderate almost everything we do now.

The terrorists have taken a great deal of lives, and done a great deal of damage. Not themselves, but via proxy; our own government and ruling authorities have done the real damage to our freedom.

Terrorism is but one obstacle and threat we face in our lives. Having our freedom to speak and protest in every day life slowly stripped from us via the introduction of new laws under the guise of 'protecting security' is the worst act of terrorism in the world today.

It's all part of the governments plan to limit out freedoms. The attacks on the twin towers were govenment sponsored, it's the only way they could get people frightened enough to give up their freedom for a false sense of security.

They just read that and so must be coming to silence you now.
