Most of it goes tward paying servicemen for extended time in Iraq, purchasing fuel needed to move equipment FROM IRAQ (money that goes to the Iraqi people, not us), civilian transportation for all those troops, and construction projects in iraq contracted by Iraqis.

Alot of the money allocated is spent within the new Iraqi economy, which means that it circulates into the hands of the working people in that country.

We pay for Iraqi freedom with our hard earned money and with the lives of our soldiers. To say the war is for some financial profit is not just ignorant, it is offensive.

Georg Bush senior is spokes person and one of the leading shareholders in the US's largest military contractor.

This may be a very hard concept for you to understand, but the president makes decisions every day that DIRECTLY AFFECT EVERY PART OF THE US ECONOMY. Smart people invest money. Bush Sr. is an investor, and his money has to go somewhere. Why not invest it in something he believes in? Bush believes that a strong military is the key to a secure nation, so he invests in it. WHOOPTIE DOO HES A WAR MONGER FOR INVESTING IN SOMETHING HE BELIEVES IN. If Bush Sr. invested in candy bars, and Bush Jr. signed on a law that promotes domestic food products, the Bush family would be accused of corruption.
