All old accounts opened until the 14th. Quoted from front page:
Welcome Back To Britannia, Nov 7 to 14!

With Britannia experiencing a massive invasion of undead, with powerful forces in conflict over the very existence of Sosaria, and with Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn on the horizon, now is a great time to return to the game you love.

From Nov. 7, 2 a.m. PST to Nov. 14, 2 a.m. PST, all closed UO accounts will be re-opened for free play. (This only applies to accounts in good standing. Accounts that were banned for misbehavior will not be re-activated.) In most cases, your characters and property will be intact and ready for play.

I miss the OLD days of UO. Publish 16 sent that game spiraling downwards. I remember when the game was skill based and not item based and there was no Trammel, just Felucca... I remember having the highest faction PvP score on Legends shard, non point muled. It was like 250 something. Shield and broadsword ftw. Fuck pussies with axes and spears...

Oooo, I used to love using a halberd if I was in a gank group. I found that a broadsword suited me best. Good speed, good damage. I believe you could deadly poison them as well which was nice. Had Parrying and used a shield vs. axers and spears to avoid being 1-2 shot by the axe and really fucked the spear damage when they managed to paralyze me. Mages were cake though. I could go one handed and chug pots like no tomorrow. Sword and board ftw.

Magic deadly poison katanas were also nice in close quarter pvp, i.e. faction bases. :-D God I miss that shit.

Mages actually had duels and it took skill, not spam. Also a melee build could take on multiple people if he was skilled enough, and win.

OH! Cool feature of UO... when you died, your body and all your items stayed where you died until you resurrected and people could take all your shit. But the UO economy wasnt fucked in the ass like L2. You could afford to buy multiple amounts of good gear.

LoL missed the time when i went naive with big bag of gold to the bank house and going afk for a piss. When i got back i had no money left. Some thief stole my chit.

Or when i tried to buy a house cheap, someone offred me dirt cheap a house and told me to get the money while i check his house. As soon i entred his house i turned "grey" and got spanked by his buds..OooOOoo

Or when someone asked me if i could help him to lift his chest (but please dont open it) . of course i opned it right after he sad it and booom i was dead...OoooOOOO

Or when i lost my house key and i labled my key nicly where it was and my entire house got nicly cleaned up by my favoured thief >.<

Well i was rich as chit anyways, was a tamer of true black nightmares so it was ok lol.

lol theives were a mother fucker. especially with UO:Assist. they could macro your shit right out of your hands. lol. thats why i put all my items inside a wooden box in my backpack. as soon as they snooped the box *"thief" begins to spasms uncontrolably* lol they would die from lethal poison trap. :-x

lol i remember the trick where you could get inside locked houses without a key. if you tamed a mongbat and had it come to you while it was in front of door it would open the door.

hiding in peoples homes and then killing them was always fun.

gank groups at portals. lol put a ton of barrels and shit around the gate so they couldnt move.

chasing people through town in felucca and teleporting on top of roofs and shit.

man i miss that shit. i remember fighting 2 stun mages and i had one dead and the other one was a hit from death and he stunned me when i was almost dead as well and moved away then he started talking shit while i couldnt move, so i used my ring of teleportation in my inventory and teleported next to his ass and hit him and he died. pwnd.

i was a big fan of unconventional items. i used invisibility items all the time. lol. get chased by a squad of people, invis item, then teleport item a few screens away from them and leave them there trying to reveal your ass.

running after people into their homes by the gates and killing them before they could kick you out was humorous as well.
