hellrose can answer the part about registering. All i know is that you need to fax them a piece of ID along with the KSSN, there is a foriegn sign up option.

You dont need a KSSN to apply for a Nexon ID which you need to sign up for beta.
(I doubt her KSSN will work anyways unless she's still considered a Korean citizen and has a Korean phonenumber etc. . most sites have ridiculous verfication processes now.)

You do, however, need to be able to type korean. (EDIT: I just reread your post and it said she can't read Korean.. that might be a problem lol. )

1. Go here (http://www.nexon.com/KR/Page/NX.aspx?URL=Login/Register&codeRegsite=146) and agree to both terms and proceed
2. On the second page you'll have to fill in bunch of stuff.. It will ask for a korean phone number and a korean address (even though the form is supposed to be for foreginers.. doesn't make sense ><). Just fill out any random korean number and address but in the second row of the address bar put in your real address (i.e. american address)..that's what I did atleast.
3. Once that's done, you will have made a temporary 'foreigner' account that you can log in to the site with.
4. You then need to fax a copy of an identification card (with your address on it) to 011-82-2-538-0181. Make sure you indicate the Nexon ID that needs verifying.
5. When they start taking applications for 3rd closed beta you can apply with your nexon account. You will need to be able to read Korean for this as well.. they ask a bunch of comprehension questions in the application.

id sign up and try go get in beta but the whole having to know korean throws me off, its not like l2 korean beta where you can download click the "english" option and ur safe. cant wait to see a NA beta the game looks damn sexy (http://zera.nexon.com/Zera/Teaser/teaser2.html)... pretty much why i started playing lineage

You have to apply for a closed beta tester position (they're not recruiting atm. wait for 3rd round closed beta which should be in about a week or two).
You can download it once they choose you as a tester.

It's not all about graphics...Darkfall is not the best looking ever(it looks a lot like GW if you look at latest screenshots), but it has promising gameplay.

I am only prejudiced towards asian games coz of the grinds:P Darkfall doesn't have a grind but a skill level system etc, I don't feel like typing a big story about it, just read the FAQ/forum of darkfall if you're interested.
