Unresponsive keyboard at login screen

Since last update my keyboard doesn't work properly at l2 login's screen. My keyboard works fine everywhere but in l2.

Only key that seem to work is space. Ascii codes work but that's a huge pain. Also it seems i can type when i hold windows key down but that's not very practical either for a few reasons. like windows key +s will type s :o using standard qwerty keyboard, english windows xp, restarting, deleting GG folder or turning off key security didn't do anything.

Also checked official boards some ppl mention the problem but no way of fixing it.

Any clues or links would be greatly appreciated.

i had the same problem after that damn gameguard update. keyboard works fine except on l2 login screen.

i'm using logitech wireless keyboard. what i did was restarting my pc. then open itouch configuration(keyboard driver) and reconnect my keyboard and launch secure mode wizard. it works after that.

o well, not sure how much helps this is to you. but good luck

gameguard messes with the drivers for wireless keyboards just like it messes with idlemon.dll for AIM.

Game is fubared a.k.a. fucked up beyond all recognition. I bet we see another patch over this crap. Take Gameguard out ffs!

I have the same problem, i reboot my pc and problem is fixed,. i can useally run lineage 1 to 3 times before problem reaccures, so reboot is not perminate fix , but allows me to play, hope it helps ( ohh btw i do not have wirless keyboard and still have same problem, ) but rebooting pc ftw

hmm, so far i've never had this problem anymore after what i did up there.

maybe try to reinstal/update your keyboard driver (if there's any)
meh, gameguard just weird. they do the thing they shouldnt do (messing up your registry, trying to get access virus-like) and they simply dun/rarely do what they're suppose to do (l2w, other 3rd party client)

yeah i ahve to restart my client up to 4 times before i can type, standard keyboard here

Seems to be a problem with non US keyboards.
In login screen, press Alt + Shift to switch to US mode, wait a few seconds and you should be able to type your account info.

I know this is an extremely old thread, but Id rather post in here than make a new one. I am having a problem with L2. I have to hold shift on my keyboard to be able to type anything. I press capslock to get a Cap letter, but if I press a number it gives me !@#$. Also right when the game comes up if I start typing it works but once the log in screen loads it will stop. Like some sort of file gets loaded and mess up the keyboard. Any suggestions, or idea?
