Moved thread... Belongs here...
I wouldnt buy any radeon now if i were you. I was a Radeon fan in the past, but their cards suck a little bit recently compared to Nvidia's cards. But that's only my opinion.
Nvidia's cards has newer technologies...

Ive heard of problems with people switching from ATI cards to the new geforce ones. Like the PC retains some of the ATI properties and theres problems where ppl need to reformat...
I kinda can't have that happen so, unless theres evidence on the contrary, i think radeon may be better in my case.

Use that. There is no need to be bogged down by a previous brand due to drivers.

If you can wait til around march, youll be able to get an 8600, price point should be around 189 maybe a little more or less..with that youll have a dx10 card and that card will stop that crappy 7600gt. Or if you also wait and save some more thay have the 8800gts thats 320mb, for like 280 with a rebate which is an awesome card for the price.
if u are still using a agp motherboard then use ya time on upgradeing ram/cpu/mobo so u can use pci-e cause agp are slowly dying even though that there is a x1950x and a Geforce 7800gs+ on the market. But they cost 400+.

Holy shit i totally did not read the agp part...ok 7800gs doesnt cost 400 bux...its around ur price range it can be had around a little under 200 you just have to watch prices. the 1950 is nice but i love nvidia so i always rec them first.

Dont go by what other people say about ATI and Nvidia, its what you like Image quality (ATI) or shit garbage that GeForce throws out. IMO I love ATI more then anything. Ive learned that ATI is better. I'm stuck with a 6800GS ATM and ive seen my buddies 8800GTX and imo the 1950XTX looks 400x better.. So its all on what u want but that ati card you put up looks great.

dude i said gs+ not gs
gs+ is a 7800 with a 7900 core(24pipes). And its only made for the european market. It can be overclocked to 650 on core and 1422 on mem. It`s pretty good actually.

ATI = gamecube yay!
staff says GeForceFX 5700 is recommended, but is that card actually right on for a as-a-minimum card?
I run on a 7800 nvidia, it's solid but with a large tag.

didnt need a power pc in the begining of la2. But they update the engine so it requires more. then add GG and more and more effects. I had to buy a completely new pc to run it smooth at 1400x900 ax16Q aax16Q with high details and wide range.

I was assuming he meant USA since he wanted max 180 US dollars...i know about the 7800 gs+, and know its made just for euros, hence why i said the 7800gs is the best...for us that is.

make sure what ever Vid Card you get is supported by NcSoft, they pretty much told me to go F*** myself becasue my integrated vid card is "incomplatible" so make sure its along the lines of Geforce2 or higher or ATI so you can play.
this only happened after the NcSfot GG update.
