View Full Version : Uh oh Critical error :* ( please help

okies so I was playing this morning on the PTS and was in the Monster Derby when the GM's where summoning all the big bosses.

After it was all done and I was logging off I crashed and got the Critical error... Now it is something I have never seen either...

Error setting display mode: CreateDevice failed (D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE). Please delete your Option.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game.


ok so I did that on the PTS L2 folder and the Live L2 folder.. But it still does it while I am loading L2... Just a few seconds after I press start..

Please help :) Tried calling NCSoft but it was after there 5 hours of operation.... :em_swt2:

Okies so L2 is running again....... But now it looks like a bad reception from your bunnie ears on a TV but Blue instead of white snow .... and now I get this Critical error... ?

I've gotten that error before when I set the Anti-aliasing to 4x instead of 2x. When that error shows up there is nothing you can do but format the whole OS. That error corrupts the OS for some reason. However, correct me if I'm wrong.
