Which one is better ? And why ?
The price diff between them is minimal....so wich one of them is better - overall.
Ty in advance
amd got cpues that can match core 2 duos at stock speeds but when the intel core 2 duo is oced it beats amd at anything cause of its low voltage use = very high oc potential.

Yeah currently the Duo eats AMD's line. Although AMD just slashed their prices, so you may be able to buy alot better AMD chip then if you went with the Duo. If price is no object, Go with the Duo

The core 2 duo all the way...the new architechure that intel uses smashes all of amds line..even the lowest e6300 is a great performer...plus on april 22nd prices are supposed to be coming down a decent amount, which is one of the reasons amd dropped theirs now.

step 1)get an E4300 or wait for the pentium 2xxx series for cheap core 2 duos :D
cheap as in $100- cheap
step 2)oc the crap out of it
step 3)enjoy

AMD has cheaper cpu's equal as performance to Intel which are a bit more expensive .. but Intel is best, so I'd go for Intel core 2 duo.

I <3 AMD, but core2 rapes anything AMD puts out. that's if you're going for performance though, you'd still be ok with the lower class AMD X2's for around ~$150.

TBH AMD 939 or AM2 isn't worth even buying. Intel has set a Very high bar for AMD to even pass. At this time Core 2 Duo's BEATS AMD, The clock speeds may be lower on intel core 2's but the FSB and Cache's of Intel's over AMD's is a total wipe out. They perform a lot better then amd's 2x 6000+
Also. On a note. You can overclock the E6300 and e5400 better then most amd platforms.. So go with core2 duo. E5300 or 6400 The prices are really nice on them
