i'm planning to upgrade mobo and cpu, i'm looking for a mobo for (intel core duo) that supports agp and at least 3 slots of ddr 1. looking for asus or gigabyte mobo.

AGP is so outdated that i don't think u can get a dual core with a AGP slot. Also you are probably running 184? pin ram and most new boards are running 240 pin ram. My suggestion is to change Mobo, CPU, Video Card, and ram all at once. I know you are looking for a simple upgrade but technology has changed so much:hf_cry2:

get a 8600 gt! pretty cheap and direct x 10 ready :)

ofc that's pci x , but you will be ready for next games, at least.

you may still be able to get a socket 775 intel board that has agp on it and ddr look on new egg, the best dual core processor you will be able to get for this board is a pentium D but with the core 2 duo's out you can find a pentium d 945 3.6GHz processor for well under $200...on a side note it may be a better idea to just go ahead and bite the bullet and build yourself a newer gaming rig. if what you have works for now then just start piecing together a newer rig unless you are having hardware failures that are forcing you to build a newer machine. just a friendly suggestion.
