If they made it shorter then it would be more like the NES controller.
www.nintendo.com (http://www.nintendo.com)
if you read the article instead of just judging from the pictures you can see that this might be really cool if they can pull it off. Its supposed to sense the tilt and depth of the controller from the screen making your control much more submersive. they also use the nunchuk cord for traditional controller setup. Sounds cool imo.

If you read the article you would notice the 'revolution' (it's been done before but probably not as good as Nintedo will).

CD-I anyone?

I don't care how innovative your company is. Once you start to imitate old CD-I or Intellivision controllers, it's time to rethink the approach.

Somewhere, someone is taking themselves and this thread too seriously. Does it sound cool? Sure. Could it be the next best thing? Maybe. Can we poke fun at it? Why not? Lighten up emo kid.

No no. I don't agree with this, now they are just running out of ideas. Because it seems like you're gonna have to be swishing your hand all around and crap, and if you get pissed off and move your hands, "Woops into a cliff". Just be original with the control, it's getting sad now. Somewhere in time Nintendo died a slow, but painless death, R.I.P.

IMO it looks like it could work. Its like the N64 type deal but with some room to move your hands. I'm one of the only people i know who wants to get a revolution.

Like someone else said the Revolution seems to be like an AND system. You will buy a 360 or PS3 AND revolution.

I personally am getting a Revolution AND MAYBE a 360 ;). Nintendo won't fail me now. With so many great series like Bond, Perfect Dark, Mario, Link....I hear they are doing another perfect dark. Plus the ability to download all the old games. Im gonna be playing Chrono Trigger like a mad man ^_^.
that looks like crap, hope I can use a gc controll :)

You can use it like a normal controller without the gyroscopic controls.
