this is a video by a guy on RBS3 on xbox live, the kid talking left his mic on during game while he was trying to get his mom to get him some milk, this is a perfect example why children shouldn't be allowed to go online, the kid only like 6, lol, it gets real funny at the end but whole video is funny.

Just seconding that. I never acted like this, nor did the children of prior generations, so I don't see why parents now literally have to bribe their children into being decent and respectful.

Violence and near-military strict rules in this case aren't nice, sure, but what works works. After you get him that cd, he'll be the ungrateful child he is thereon out. Or atleast until you buy him another.

Not saying said child shouldn't be a child, but a friend of mine has an extremely well behaved son. He still asks for things-- he's not a robot, but, if his wishes get declined, he doesn't throw* a fit in the middle of the store. :/

Why are people afraid to give their child spankings? The chances of him calling CPS is very low, and if he threatens to do so explain to him that while you, the parent, may get in a little bit of trouble, you know that it takes more than 20 minutes for CPS to get there, and that is A LOT of time for things to happen.

lol growing up if i wasn't getting beat my mom was sleeping, thats the way it needs to be, if children aren't scared (not literally terrified or anything) of their parents they will just walk all over em. Beating will commence until morale improves imo.

True, but how do you get them to respect you? Sure there are ways but what if they don't work? Let's face it some kids are just plain douchebags, and they need to get the smackdown. Sometimes I find it hard to restrain myself from smacking somebody else's kid at the mall when I hear the things they say. :)

Don't have these troubles, if you start the child out right when they are young they don't get that bad. I've only ever hit my kids hands for things like reaching for a hot pan or stove top. Better means of teaching a child to listen and obey are out there than using violence.
Spending more time with your own children then the babysitter/childcarecenter helps too! To many parents today pass their children off to strangers and expect them to teach them to behave, and those taking care of the kids.... well I've heard it said, "It's not my kid I don't care what it does."

Worst I have to do is tell my kid he doesn't keep his grades to A's and B's he won't get to play Linage or Magic The Gathering.

I used to get whipped with a belt and a wooden spoon and I never talked back to my mom like that. Sad thing is, if that kid does shoot up some class mates the game industry would get blamed, not the kids shitty parents.
