I don't really like the looks of the Saitek joysticks. I got the x45 myself, bought it a couple years ago and I've been regretting that I didn't pay the extra money and buy a Thrustmaster Cougar instead. The x45 has a kind of a candy-ass feeling to it

I remember the x45. I didn't buy it because it looked like it should have been produced by Fisher Price. What I like about the 52 is the ergonomics and durability, as it's crafted from the same materials used in actual aircraft. The flight data screen on the throttle is pretty cool as well. They added a mini-mouse to it as well. In all, lots more metal and rubber. I am content =D

Yeah true the x52 looks to be more sturdy than the x45, every time I use the x45 I'm worried that I'll snap the throttle handle off cause the plastic structure looks so damn weak.
But still, the general looks of the x52 are pretty much the same as x45. It looks like something from Star Trek, not something from the cockpit of an F-16
