Taking a wee break from World of Warcraft to appreciate some of the finer aspects of gaming, well... MMOs: PVP.
World of Warcraft had pvp like L2 does now, minus the castles, criminal system, and death penalties. But, with Blizzard adding battlegrounds, all pvp eventually stopped outside of these instances, near-worthless besides for the few decent items you can win through countless battleground victories. So, the fun pvp died, though some of you hardcore L2ers would've still shunned the "oh my god pussy durability loss." So that goes without saying killing someone in L2 can be more than a 15-60 second fame, as corpse runs generally aren't that long.
Not saying one game is better than the other, as of course, they were made for different types of people. And my rant is ending here, mainly because:
1- I doubt much, if anyone, cares.
And 2- Those that do care have heard this before.
So, yeah, I still see some of the people I knew from other L2 sites here, though not as much as I would've hoped to see. I'm back for a while.
