Nostromo help please(nostromo users only)

Hello,

I have done a nostromo search here but could not find what I needed so:

I just got my nostromo and am eager to put it to use.
I tried setting up a cp pot spam macro but I do not think it is right. I am not getting that legendary spam effect I have read about on the forums.

Can someone please type out what the macro should look like.

Just to be a dick, don't you make the macro ingame, then have a keysetup to "press" that macro with a little delay.

Couple of ways you could do it so I'll give ya one way:
*Put your cp pots on hotbar #1 in game
*Open up the N52 profile editor of the profile you wanna use
*move your mouse down the list to the left (01 through 14) so that it lights up the key on the controller that you wanna use for the cp pot spam
*Right click that key and select new macro
*name the macro whatever you want, e.g. CP Pots
*Hit "start recording"
*press your F key in game 5 times that corresponds to the slot where you put your cp pots. Make sure the profile editor is showing when you do this, dont minimize and go back into game to do it.
*Hit "stop recording"
*You should see a delay between each f key release and press, shorten this or increase this to 0.50 (you may need to test this in game to make sure it works for you)
*Check either "play macro one time only" or "repeat macro until key is pressed again"....the later will pop cp pots endlessly until you run out, even it your cp isn't low.
*Hit "ok"

Hope that gets you started..once you see how it works there are a few different ways you can set it up. Maybe more ppl will chime in.

i think so but it looks like normal mouse with 3 additional buttons... and it suits me better than some freaky pad

Open your profile editor and select a key that you want to use on the n52 pad and select "New Macro"

I keep my CP pots on a slot I don't use much which is normally F11. Set your macro settings within the profile editor to that in the screenshot and you'll be good. you won't get the endless "cp pot not ready for reuse" message all the time. As far as I could tell .4 seconds was just enough for it not to do that, just remember to pay attention to uncheck the record delay between key presses box, very important.

If you dont mind the system messages you can even put the delay to a minimum, so that if you are using a skill at the time the cp pot is set to go off it will use the pot .05 seconds after you are finished the skill instead of .4

The cp spam macro directions u posted are awesome.

I needed to see one example to get me on the right track and this example was perfect. It worked great.

I still have alot to learn and get used to this controller, but the possibilities are indeed endless with this thing.

I have read the many posts on the N52 and with the info you gave me, I am headed in the right direction.

Mmmm, but what if you have all your F keys used? Can u set the nostromo tu use an item in inventory? I don't recall any shortcut to use an item like "/useitem CP potion", which would be of some use I guess... :(

I guess it's because I'm using same bar for pvp and pve most of time, I'm terrible at changing it during a fight, now with Nostromo I guess it'll be much easier.. ^^

Saving the profile might help.

And yeah the new one looks pretty good. I've had mine about 3 years or something so I guess I'll upgrade lol.

Looking for advice on macros for a hawkeye pvp/general macros

I also purchased the N52. How should one bind the attack key for pvp. Is there any way to push a button for attack in pvp ..instead of always holding the attack button down for pvp?

any advice is most welcome.

binding the attack key so you dont have to continue holding it down can be done the same way the cp pot macro was shown earlier, just have your force macro for attack, set it to your main fkeys and make the nostromo macro look like the one shown in the screenshot earlier in this thread, with your fkey for your force attack

Hello, another question about nostromo.

I got a problem with the CTRL key; I am trying to make a macro to hold control for force attack but it dont work.
When I try to register the CTRL key it seem to work (I can read "activate a key Left CTRL" "Desactivate a key Left CTRL"); but when I press ok to save the macro then come back on the macro the left CTRL is gone (there is only "activate a key" desactivate a key" without any key's name).

Anyone have the same problem or got a solution? Or another way to hold force attack?

Right click button you want to edit-> NEW MACRO. Press START RECORDING in macro editor, press CTRL and attack/nuke/we u want, then STOP RECORDING. Set up delay shorter or delete delay and save.

Best for ctrl is seting up a toggle. Open the manager...(blablabla)... choose a key and make a new macro, click "Insert key", press ctrl. In the bar on the left you will see "ctrl key press" , "delay (number)" , "ctrl key release". Delete the last 2 lines, so the only one still there will be "ctrl key press". Set the macro to "repeat untill key is pressed again", and below on the "seconds between repeat" set the number to 0.00 ; that macro works lika a ctrl toggle, when you press it, all your actions in game are /force actions, and to change it just stop the macro. You can't type on chat when that toggle is active tho

Edit: when I'm back home I'll ss my cp spam macro for 2 types of cp pots (on f11 and f12 main bar), perfect delays with no reuse sys chat spam. BTW - seting up a very low delay on spam macros isn't rly good, cause during that spam sometimes it can block casting other skills you click manualy
