What class would outright kill any class out there? If everybody has the same base level of equipment, what class would be unstopable in the arena?
I'm not thinking skills on how to play, let's face the facts here; you don't need any skills to play Lineage 2, lol.
All I'm saying is that a simpleminded game like L2 should have its main pride class out for display like any other game, so all the noobs out there can pick the proper class when they begin playing. I hear a new flow of players will be coming soon. So, let's hear it, chop chop.

I would think either Necro or SH, but I kinda quit the game waiting for Age of Conan.

I got buddies whose gonna play AoC. I just wish I had the same distinctive primal instict to actually care for this game. Judging by the dev team AoC is gonna have more bugs than any game ever created so far so I'm gonna pass on that.

Necros, aren't they gonna nerf them? Or haven't they allready?

I like Paladins. They are a fun class to play. But after a while, running around aggroing everybody to death sucks balls. That's at least what my clannies expected of me in pvp. The only thing.

this game is so damn based on luck that u cant rly say that there is a class that can kill every other, on a regular basis. anyway, top geared nuker is probably the most reliable for that task. antharas/zaken/frint archer is also strong

No not yet, I actually left a note to dean on facebook 5 min ago so we'll see, I'm still all <3's for EQ2 tho so I'm not in a hurry.

@edu-: Well yeah, you're right. No arguing there. I'm just trying to make pointless conversations with people who's disgusted by my presence.

archers - nothing without buffs. mages +heroes can make em buffless in no time :D

id say

wc/bd/sws/bishop and 5 archers (or 4+warlock) will die anytime by 4 sps/sorcs with bd/sws/magnus wc or better ee/bishop/something like a hero tyrant
even if archers have hero bishop :D

its all about gear/buffs/augments/lvls and group setup atm

how 'bout 78 sts noble, ++AM, +6 robes, 150 wind attk, full +4 boss jewels, a nice +4 s shield, and some add Dark Mage skills from sub down the road?

- bah, 79 Sts be much better..can't have it all right away (not if u've earned every inch of it) - all takes time.

TH might be good, but there hasn't been a scary TH on the server since Agantara stopped playing.

In open field, sps is probably the scariest toon on its own. In mass pvp, I think archer and mage groups are well balanced. Mage group can get chant of protection, and archer group can get kamael anti-magic buffs. I actually think the scariest group in mass pvp might be some fucked up melee-based skill-spamming party, like shockblasting warlords or something we haven't seen yet.

@ Ikaros - how can you be "<3's" for EQ2, that game has the most unbalanced zerg fest of crap pvp ever implemented in any game...ever. Not to mention its only a step above WoW graphically /gag. Especially considering you said L2 pvp "takes no skill" rofl. by comparison? L2 is a pvp masterpiece. go back to EQ2 fag.

You've definetly not played Everquest 2 at higher levels, you obviously never gave that game a chance. And I bet it's because of your Emo self crying every time an opponent pwnd you in pvp.
The PvP system is "kill your opponent, kill your opponent anywhere and kill him now!"- sorta way, in town, out of town, etc. In this game there is no carebear safezone. Not only that but in Eq2 you have to twink your character in order to kill anyone or you're screwed. My I managed to twink my character WELL, I started this game 3 weeks ago and I can kill ANYONE the same level as me.... and my character is a healer/buffer class...
Yeah, in this game 2 levels matters, hell even 1 level matters ALOT.

A slight change from L2's pvp and EQ2's pvp system would be the that there is a either a +4 +8 or +10 level gap depending on the zone. If you're level 60 and your opponent is level 49 you cant kill him unless he hits you first.
Other than that the PvP system is exactly like Lineage 2 except the part where you can't kill your own allies (wait, my bad, that's exactly like L2...).
If you go betrayal your will switch sides, if you're evil you go good, if you're good you go evil.

Graphically Lineage 2 sucks EQ2's dick. Twice.

So just live with it. EQ2 and Sony owns L2 and NCSoft.
I was once a dedicated L2 player myself but L2 just doesn't cut it. It's sloppy, boring and is filled with ebayers and pricks who doesn't even know twoshits about mmorpg's. The only thing that is good about Lineage 2 is the Karma system and castle sieges (to have a common goal in the game, to get castles and badmouth other clans)
