Stealth skills should be given to the dagger class since his/her specialties are based on chance.
-While in stealth the movement speed is heavly decreased
-depending on the level of the rival toon he/she can see you if they are +5 levels above you.
-Reset time would be alot similar to UE but not as much.
Backstab would actually have a better chance at landing. Also this would give the dagger class a better chance at open pvp since its pretty obvious... range > melee.

How they do it there is, when invisible your movement speed is greatly decreased (the speed increases with lvl of the skill). You are totally invisible to players while in this invisible state however other daggers have an active reveal skill which when used in a certain radius reveals hidden players. You are also revealed when attacking of course.
COI in Lineage 1 was awesome....until it kinda got nerfed...nothing like having to uncloak( or someone using detection) and stand there for 5 seconds before you can attack another player. Still cool to walk around town and talk and everyone else just sees a floating bubble of text walking around >.>
I dunno.. can you imagine a dagger group coming up, pk someone, invis, leave. That would be more annoying than bsoe. Eventually, its gonna turn out to be stealther wars since detection especially in L2 is next to impossible due to the amount of area someone has to cover.
DAoC has the stealth thing. Unless you had a good healer and/or were a tank, you were usually screwed hard vs a stealther. Later on, they nerfed quite a few of the skills, but even then, stealthers were quite lethal.
I can just see groups of dagger camping port-in spots, pk, go red, stealth away. That = no.
Stealth skill? You mean like in WoW where you press a skill button and nobody is able to see you? That sounds like the perfect skill for griefers xD

IE: Cant be stealthy if you are purple or red. Once you go purple/red stealth automatically turns off. Would put some surprises into a pretty damn unsurprising game. You can predict this game way too easy...
IMO dont put stealth in, put a skill in that means you cant be targeted. Make it have like a 10 minute cooldown with 30 secs duration. Imagine the fear a mage will feel when they find out they cant take down the dagger they see running towards them.
Stealth / Invisibility has allways been very overpowered in all MMO's that have had them.
However if added to L2 the way it should be done is Toggle Silent Move on, then Toggle Invisibility on thus draining loads of MP.
#1: You cannot use "Invisibility" if you are targeted by a player or Mob.
#2: Attacking while invisible makes you materialize
#3: I think it should have a limit of sorts to one dagger skill and then a set amount of time before using any other dagger skills (this would prevent someone from being invisible sneaking up on someone, and unleashing a chain of attacks from behind and more than likely killing the target before it has a chance).
However any of the above and any non-dagger class (most likely mages) will cry havoc and demand a removal of the skill. God forbid the fact that Mages get Critical magic spells, a buff that increases the rate, and a dance that increases it further, but giving any more power to another class is terrible.
lol, even if cloaking ever did get put in, so many people will cry about it there'll eventually be a counter skill (most likely given to mages) that'll cancel out the effect within 900 range of the caster or something. when mages can beat a dagger 10/10 times starting from range, god forbid a dagger that can beat a mage 8/10 times starting from close range.
It is overpowered, or no doubt would be if implemented by the Korean design team. I do not think it is retarded. However I would love it to be added, just to piss all the mages off. 99% of the mages in this game are whiney little bitches. C3 Nerfed the dagger class so fucking bad, and I never cared much (cept for them adding dagger resist to almost all the new mobs). Mages get one tiny fucking nerf, and all hell breaks loose.

Or you make stealth only available if you don't do anything (besides walking)... So if you do a special/cast/whatever you become visible.

I agree Invisibility should be added. I think NCSoft intends to since they nerfed daggers so far. But I'm guessing it's going to be either a lvl 79/80 skill when those levels are released or released as an "Invisibility Cloak" which will drop off a raid boss, maybe even he one in C5, they have added 5 jewelry pieces right?
Another way they could implement this is "Invisibility" is only activated when you have Silent Move and the BD Silent Move dance on at the same time. That should be interesting to see, as if it was a Silent Move lv2.
COI and the Invisibility spell weren't overpowered in Lin1 considering the rules they put on them, and the Detect spell...I think they could fit in well in Lin2.
